The trauma of life has the potential to close our hearts towards God. There is no special process towards our healing except to just simply let our guards down, open our hearts, and let the love of God penetrate the damage life has done to our souls. It simply takes pure, uncertain, vulnerable trust.

It is a part of our humaneness to make thinks more difficult than they actually are at times. Could we be doing the same thing in our relationship with God? Jesus says, “My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”
