On July 3, 2016, the body of 31-year-old Kumba Sesay was found in a ditch. Kumba had been a well-known host for a internet radio show in Houston, Texas. It wasn't long before the police had a person that Kumba thought she knew well in custody.

On June 7, 2007, Cristi Hall, a mother of three, was reported to have drowned in her backyard spa. Her husband Chris, and daughter Courtney, had attempted to revive her. Cristi was pronounced dead, and her husband was arrested for murder later that night. Was it a murder or a tragic accident, as her husband said it was.

On February 27, 2018, 25-year-old Patrick De La Cerda was shot several times and killed on his front door step. He had been lured outside to get a package that he had been waiting for. His fiancé's ex-boyfriend, Gregory Bender, had been threatening him, and this time acted on the threat.

On January 31, 2011, 14-year-old Alana Calahan was shot in her home while she uploaded photos to her Facebook. She was then dragged out into the woods, and was found by her sister, and a 14-year-old neighbor named Aaron Schmidt. 

Aaron Schmidt was later arrested for Alana's murder. He confessed that it was an accident. He was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. Was Aaron's trial fair, or should he have been given a lighter sentence?

On August 12, 1997, 20-year-old Ricky Cowles Jr., was found lying on the floor of his apartment. He had been shot in the head, and hit with a claw hammer. He went into a coma, and died days later. 

A local drug dealer was arrested for his murder, and also pointed the finger at Ricky's girlfriend Amy Preasmeyer, and her friend Jennifer Kellogg. All were charged, and sentenced for murder.

In July 2011, Nique Leili, a mother of three went missing. Her husband Matt said that they had gotten into an argument, and he hadn't seen her since.
