Ramsey Russell, owner of GetDucks.com and host of the Duck Season Somewhere podcast joins Brian Halbleib on the show. Ramsey grew up in Mississippi and had a grandfather who told him stories about duck hunting in the Mississippi Delta. He would tag along on some dove hunts but it wasn’t until after high school that Ramsey became a duck hunter himself. We discuss his education in wildlife biology. We talk about his move from private forestry & wildlife management to his positions with the state and federal government then ultimately becoming a waterfowl hunting booking agent. We discuss how his disappointing first out of state waterfowl hunt turned into a career that spanned around the world and over several decades. We get into hunting ducks in Mexico, Argentina and beyond. We also hear about some of his favorite hunting experiences and stories.
