two fours in a row is a huge stop sign from the universe. timely, given the retrograde season, and the tower cycle we are in in august. double dose of: slow down baby.

definitely a time asking for patience and pacing and reviewing. not a time for rushing forward or forcing an outcome.

fours are the number of stability and more then many other numbers, they don't offer a lot of nuance. it's usually pretty clear- the pause feels like rest or the pause feels like constriction. like peace or like burden. not much in between.

and the four of cups is often a card of feeling frustrated or dissatisfied. and this week, it feels a bit like picking a fight with your partner cause you had a bad day at work.. like is that what's really going on?

notice where you might feel hyper-fixated on some outcome- like I HAVE to decide- and notice if there might be something deeper going on.

a great week for counseling and talking it through and journaling and tarot! anything that helps bring some air and light and possibility and truth to the table.

so much 8 energy! this one goes to 11 is the vibe.

eight is power and alignment and authority and being at home on the MATERIAL plane. sixteen is disrupting the status quo... shaking up the old structures that just don't work for us anymore. and feeling more deeply ALIVE and ALIGNED.

go slow. let things continue to integrate and resolve on their own. no forcing outcomes if you can help it...

mostly? this felt so quiet and healthy. like resting on a stone in a river. like I have my bag with all my things and maybe I have enough to share but I haven't decided yet...

I might just rest here for a minute and check for leaks. and take a nap. and fill my belly and buy myself a pretty little hoodie and then decide.

this card is a double does of earth energy. and sometimes that feels heavy and stuck and miserly.

but not this week.

this week it feels like: let's just catch our breath.

the lion's gate is a powerful manifestation portal BECAUSE it is a powerful alignment threshold.

having a sense of your resources, and taking responsibility for them, is a major factor in alignment. clarity and focus and truth-telling make your song more magnetic. this is simply fact.

so enjoy the pause and FULL PERMISSION to get a little self-centered.

watch and wait and measure and wait some more. giving yourself away is not always generosity and holding back is not always selfish.

that can be something you don't want to hear.. a la weekend at bernie's... you might keep dragging it around with you. but eventually, it will get too heavy and inevitable.

or that can be something you hope is done but you also keep looking over your shoulder, like might it pop out of the bushes again? am I really safe?

or that can be a celebration. look at me. here. in this new skin. limitless and free. let me bask in the rays of this new day.

in any case. the card brings us completion and you have a right to feel any and every way about that.

and in any case, the ending is blessed. make peace with it and take whatever you need to say your proper good byes.

the moonlight is a fantastical realm- where shadows can take on a life of their own and our imagination can roam wild.

dreamwork, word deconstruction, visualization, shadow work- all ripe for play this week.

but more specifically, there is an energy of mothering here and when mothering can turn to smothering... when "be careful" and "are you sure" go from healthy caution to this is no way to live.

the moon is asking us to check in on our wild self and on our tamed self and making sure they are both finding healthy expression.

sometimes the moon is inviting us to the precipice of evolution... and asking us if we are ready to take a big leap forward... to evolve because its time even if we don't know what that means.

see what I did there?? this card is known as deception but it's most fundamentally asking us to be patient about the mysterious nature of air energy...

sometimes it's deceptive, sometimes it's playful, sometimes it's collusion, sometimes it's a funny riddle, sometimes it's hypnosis unlocking new learning and sometimes it's your kids getting into trouble cause they're bored...

we are all things my darlings. and we have been the player and the fool both... and chances are we might be both again- maybe even in a day.

this message was dynamic and playful and multi-faceted... so def check your credit card statement but also maybe dive into some word deconstruction. trust your instincts and don't rush to take anything at face value... it's all reflection and projection after all.

cancer and capricorn have a tendency to isolate and rely only on themselves... the energy this week reminds you that it takes a village and any part of you that thinks "I'm better on my own here" might want to reconsider or at least get curious about why that might feel true and what else might be possible.
