It's Like a Podcast or Whatever

Handsome Bane is fed up with everybody and their bitching about everything in entertainment these days.  Nobody knows what they want in an ending for Game of Thrones, Sonic Sickos got vindication, petitions against Pattinson are signed before WB even substantiates the rumors.  So in order to stay positive, the Bane man went and grabbed some scripts, grabbed some friends and started doing some table reads.  Pardon our laughter on this one, but sometimes stuff be funny. We won't say who the usual suspects are on this one.  But here's a hint: The Cave of WOnders is married to Nancy, Lady Olenna tells Spencer to be a Dragon and Bart Baddams reads a piece from the Bresh Brince of Bel-Bair. We're trying something a little different this time.  We've always been your home for everything from Pro Wrestling takes to Spiritual Warfare to chat with cosplayers.  Well, we're working on a new project called "FirStEps" where we take the first episode of a show and deep dive on it so you can see if it's something you would find interesting.  That way you're not spending 50 bucks a month on streaming apps just to watch The Office again. On this episode, one of the last Game of Thrones holdouts, KELEN CONLEY (B. Hyphen) makes his return to ILAPOW.  We go over the first episode "Winter is Coming" and Kelen's impressions of it. In the end Kelen let's us know if he would like to continue watching Thrones or if it's just not for him. FirStEps is a show we submitted to the Google Podcast project. So wish us luck that we're able to turn this into something. LTB

Looks like the gang's all here.  Most of the ILaPoW family has gathered at The 2019 Anime Boston convention at the Hyne's Convention Center.  We have taken over the Quiet Room on the 5th floor and turned it into the Save Point, an active safe space that helps to ensure con-goers will be able to go decompress or step away from the convention without worry that someone will try to accost them in any way.  Friend of the show, Retro Ric from the Super FanCom Show stops by to play a little "Can You Top This" and talk about his show.  There may be some baby sounds in the background. That's just Everyday Olive being clingy to the Returning Everyday Rogue. It's cute.

They discuss their creative outlets like comics, their podcast (Enter Podcast Name Here), how to be young and informed, and the book they have been writing.  Bane also tries to not look all that washed next to this group of youngsters. He does well enough to get a round of "Whatchu Know Bout This Here?" a game that was JUST named in this description.

Aaron Greenlee is the patron saint of ILaPoW, so this celebration of his life was of the utmost importance. When he passed away in 2011, he didn't just leave a void, he left a huge responsibility to all those who survived him. Today, Handsome Bane honors his brother by reviewing one of the many things Aaron is synonymous with, THE REAL Transformers the Movie.  With Bane on this journey is his rival and friend, the crotch-grabbingly-great Miles Amadeus Prower. They float through the plot and spend a lot of time of the small idiosyncrasies.  If you've never seen it, there will be spoilers. If you HAVE seen it, prepare to laugh with us as we take a trip down Memory Lane with the greatest 90 minute toy commercial.

So after about a week's hiatus, Everyday Rogue returns to help Handsome Bane roll out the red carpet for the boss of the Hyphen Podcast Group, none other than the President of the company Mr. BHyphen himself!  The gang recaps the winner of the Most Exquisite Black Film Royal Rumbowl as well as the winner of the ILaPoW Ultimate Care Package giveaway.  Thanks to all who voted and participated in the great debate.  

In more pressing matters, HB defends his hot take that The Walking Dead's Negan is a better human being than Breaking Bad's Walter White.  Everyday Rogue plays the impartial moderator as The Hyphen takes on the role of Heisenberg's defense attorney.  Points were made and minds were (possibly) changed as we looked at things through a different scope.  We understand the importance of perspective and its effect on the viewer.  So who do you think wins this?  After you listen to this, feel free to weigh in with your opinion?
