Sin is not like having a bad headache, it’s like drinking cyanide. The really good news is that Jesus drank that poison that we deserve so that we can live forever! Then, Shawna was feeling the loss of her dad on her first Father’s Day without him. She wasn’t able to carry the grief on her own and that’s when two friends stepped in. Next,  Perry shares, “My thirst for sex and applause as a teenager was a thirst for God. What I thought would satisfy only wounded me with shame. It was like trying to quench my thirst with salt water.” Then, how do we get direction from the Lord when we don’t have chapter and verse to show us. That’s what Shawna’s wrestling through.
