Hello Seattle Mariners fans!

We apologize for the delay, it has been a busy couple week for the gang, but we are back in business and ready to talk offense! The Mariners are super hot fire, sporting the best offense in the majors. Yes indeed, the Mariners lead the league in wRC+, BB% and offensive WAR over the first couple weeks. The sample size may be small, our enthusiasm is growing by the hour. Is the offense for real? Is 2019 Tom Murphy back? Is Julio improving steadily at the plate? Does Jarred look improved in the field? Is this the most fun Mariners team in twenty years? We answer all these questions, and take a deep dive into two Mariners off to blazing starts (JP and Ty France) and two youngsters finding their footing (Julio and Jarred). Furthermore, since we spent an hour just talking about the Mariners scorching offense, we will have a second podcast this week to address the good, the bad and ugly on the pitching side. Stay tuned!

But finally, the fever broke, a new CBA was agreed to and Spring Training is already underway. All of that was just the start of the excitement though, as baseball moved swiftly to reignite the hot stove and Jerry was there as always, ready to pounce. Mikey breaks down his two most recent articles for Lookout Landing, detailing the Mariners newest acquisitions: Eugenio Suarez and Jesse Winker. There's a ton to like, and the gang agrees that the team is better off today than it was before the trade. But just how much better? Have all the Mariners imports seen better days, or is the best yet to come for the fresh faces? Mikey's new kittens also steal the show as the real stars of the podcast.

We get philosophical when it comes to discussing the current rift between the players and the owners, and how it mirrors some of the inequalities elsewhere in society, and perhaps what can be done about it. We respond to a Lookout Landing twitter question regarding the ZIPS projections for the Mariners bullpen, and remain optimistic.
