The poem is free verse (no rhyme) and repeats the words life, death, light, you, and gods. The line "your life is your life," encourages the reader to not make exceptions to their own needs.

One of the best "short reads".

This poem is separated into uneven sets of lines. There is no rhyming pattern in this poem but there are moments of repetition (usage of AND) which unifies the text.

The symbolism of the poem is commendable. Here, Frost symbolizes fire as desire or love, and ice is symbolized to be destruction and hate. This is one of my favourites!

What I like about this poem is that, it instructs, gently, and reassures. With no set rhyme scheme, the poem is a loose structure pinned with occasional short lines and single words. It takes its time, the subtle pauses placed for the reader to ponder on.

Impeccable respect!

I like how this poem is free of any structure and has broken the sentences in a way that the flow of emotions are seen throughout.
