Josh Marcengill was an angry young man. Having grown up poor in addition to coping with the suicides of his father and brother, he left his faith at age 9 and became an "on the fence" atheist for most of his young life.

Wanting to have more than he did growing up, Josh chased down his dreams throughout college and found himself living in a nice apartment in San Diego, California. Despite this, he found himself going down the wrong roads, using drugs and alcohol to cope with the pervasive stress and anxiety he was feeling. He was fighting his mind.

At the end of his rope, Josh decided it was time to end his life and what came next was the revelation of a lifetime. Since then, he's been helping people have their own abundant encounters that helps shape the identity God is keeping for us rather than keeping from us.

Not having grown up in a Christian home, Dr. Tim Griffin attended church infrequently with friends and, up until he turned 18 years old, was a "nominal believer."
