Today on Freedom Friday, we can feel unqualified, ill equipped, and unprepared for what God is asking us to do, and all that may be true.  But it’s when we feel that way that Jesus calls us to take a risk of faith.  Then, life can be hard, it can suddenly overwhelm us.  Failure can take us down; we can fall into old life-robbing habits.  But it’s just then that Jesus gives us a do-over and reminds us why we’re here:  To join him on his mission of love to our world!  Finally, the gospel is not advice about how to live your life to get God to love you, it’s news about what God has done for us to show us his love!  This life with God is not on your shoulders, it’s on His!
