It's So Bad

This week on the podcast, we add our second ever edutainment game, it's Super Solvers: Gizmos & Gadgets! You are the Super Solver! It's your duty to solve the puzzles, find the items and put together a spectacular racing vehicle to take on Morty, your archnemesis. You must have an understanding of simple logic and the ability to overcome the Cyber Chimps, Morty's ferocious right-hand men. Can you do it? Where did it land on the Endless List?

This week we actually went to the movies and saw Uncharted. Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg enter and shenanigans ensue! In production for over a decade, had a revolving door of attached directors, unproven writers, lots of budget! What could possibly happen! Where did it land on the list of video game movies?

Just like the game, this week we have an exhausting conversation about where Dark Souls ranks on the Endless List. Yes, this game is very good and yes it's highly influential but we spent literally 30 minutes talking about the ranking. This is the week of Elden Ring so of course we just had to rank a soulsborne game. And we ranked the soulsborne game, the one that really made the whole soulslike genre popular (yes, I realize Demon Souls also did some work but this is where it really popped off).

This week on the podcast, we talk about an edutainment game. It's a game where you learn about fractions and also frogs and everyone has a very good time. The frogs are nice and the math is completely legit. It's true. Don't look it up and don't ask questions. Just listen to the podcast please.

This week for our 150th entry to the Endless List, we're adding one of the games we first podded about: PUBG: Battlegrounds. This newly eligible game to the Endless List, brought our group of friends together with it's giant maps, huge player counts and wide variety of weapons. It innovated a genre that is one of the most popular in existence today. Where did it land on our Endless List of games?

This week on the podcast, we're adding the first Pokémon movie with Pokémon: The First Movie to our definitely going to end list of video game movies. We join our heroes Ash, Brock and Misty as they are waiting out a storm when suddenly they are invited to a battle by a mysterious Pokémon master. Does this old up in our age addled minds? Does nostalgia prevail in our ranking on the list?

This week on the podcast, we added Actraiser to the Endless List of video games. It's a city-builder and an action platformer? What the what!? Made by the Dragon Quest people and put out in the early days of the Super Nintendo. Where did it land on the Endless List?

This week on the podcast, we're adding one of the greatest sports game of all time to the Endless List in NHL '94. Depending on where and when you grew up, this might have been a staple in your gaming repetoire in the '90s. The game brought improvements like one-timers and full goalie control to the NHL series. It was also the first time the NHL series had both the NHL license for teams and the NHLPA license for players. And there was one of the all time sports video game characters: Jeremy Roenick. Where did it land on the Endless List?

Some people have asked if you're going to cover every video game then you have to include gacha games. Well here we are, this week it's Chris's most requested game, Fire Emblem Heroes. This ain't your mama's gacha game (it really is but I'm trying to make this exciting). Bringing together the lore of all the Fire Emblem games while also providing an addictive gameplay loop and being generous in it's free-2-play design, Fire Emblem Heroes has it all! Where did it land on our Endless List?

This week on the podcast, we add the fifth out of six live action theatrically released video game movies released in the 1990s as we add Double Dragon to the list. Starring Alyssa Milano, Mark Dacascos, Robert Patrick and Scott Wolf. We dive into the action, the writing, the acting and so much more. This movie is really bad! But Abobo is really good (in some really bad ways!). Watch as we discuss how this movie apes so many movies prior while providing really terrible writing and direction!

Join us as we add the Double Dragon movie to the list!
