we are going to meet Ben Sherrill. of benediction works. Ben is a fellow wood nerd who’s woodworking focus is currently on creating hand carved spoons and similar type projects.  He allowed us to invade his shop this morning and we will learn all about him on this show.

Today I am going to introduce you to Mark Downing of Atelier. With over 40 years of experience he has been a creator in so many disciplines, woodworking, metal working, design, general contracting to name just a few. We will discuss what it’s like to be a maker and how it affected his journey through life.

Today I want to introduce you to Gloria Wilson of Meraki woods.

Gloria is a long-time woodworker and sawdust therapy specialist according to her business cards. We will talk about her love of using recycled materials and what it is like to sell her items at gift shows

We will also talk about how meeting people at these shows brings her such joy.

This time on it’s wood I am speaking with Brody Cousineau of Cousineau wood products over the internet.

His company creates beautiful color laminated wood that I have been using for many years. The striking array of color combinations available make some great looking projects.

I must admit I have never found wood flooring very fascinating, little did I know the amount of design, thought and passion that can go into it. Today I am here with John Dupra of Revel woods and he is going to take us into the realm of wood floors. I hope you find this as interesting as I do now

I have the great pleasure of sitting down today with Tracy Partridge-Johnson from Portland Pyrography. Pyrography is the technical term for wood burning, although it is so much more. Tracy takes this art to the level of a masterful artist.

For the longest time I have wanted to sit down with a logger and learn about where our wood comes from. I want to introduce you to Irwin Wright of High west Wood Products.

Irwin has over 35 years of experience in both logging and wood processing.

On this episode I sit down with Brodey Carpenter owner and creative designer of Dredge Design. I met Brodey on a trip to the southern coast of Oregon. Although I had to brave a winding gravel road up into the woods to get to his shop, once there it was easy to see how inspirational this location was.

On this episode I speak with Robert Frisbee from beautiful Sisters Oregon about inspiration, mistakes and how to learn from them and how he is finding joy in his wood shop after retirement from the business world.
