  • FU To Atlantic Canada AND Glitter Wind Power - Lowell Green Sept 1, 2022

    On today's show, Lowell discusses the fact that the Premiers of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI and Newfoundland have all told the Prime Minister that they cannot afford the carbon tax on gas that is set to be applied in those four provinces.   The federal response; FU.


    And Lowell reminds us that the Atlantic provinces are dependent on foreign oil, not Canadian oil and that this increased price further supports Saudi Arabia, where women are whipped, and forbidden from being out of the house alone.

    And, we resume the conversation about wind and solar power.    With the City Of Ottawa set to build 710 wind turbines, Lowell asks you where, in Ottawa, we should build them.   Some of your suggestions are brilliantly funny!    Lowell also suggests we can dress them up a little bit with sparkles.

  • City Seeks Manager For Project It Claims Does Not Exist - Lowell Green Aug 31, 2022

    Day three of discussing the City Of Ottawa's $60 Billion Climate Change Master Plan, which some councilors are insisting does not exist, while at the same time telling us the costs.


    Today, a candidate for council, Joseph Ben-Ami, forwarded us a job posting from the City Of Ottawa.   The position is for a Project Manager on the Climate Change and Resiliency Team.   (See it here:  https://jobs-emplois.ottawa.ca/city-jobs/job/Ottawa%2C-ON-ON/726775147/)

    As one of our listeners/viewers stated, "how do I apply for a job that doesn't exist?"

  • City Of Ottawa Green Energy Plan - True Or Not? Lowell Green Aug 29, 2022

    If City Of Ottawa Doesn't Have A Plan, How Do They Know The Costs?


    Today Lowell responds to a VERY confusing email from Stittsville councilor Glenn Gower regarding our last show where we broke the news of, and detailed the Climate Change Master Plan voted on at the city of Ottawa and confirmed by International Climate Science Coaltion Canada on their website https://www.icsc-canada.com/

    Gower's response in one breath says they didn't approve it but then in another says there was no plan approved.   Additionally, he details what the costs of this "non-plan" are, to which Lowell asks, "if there is now plan then how do you know the costs?"

    There are two Mayoral Candidate Debates on the Environment coming up:

    Kanata Tuesday Aug 30 6-8pm @ Walter Baker Park
    Orleans Wednesday Sept 7 6-8pm @ Orleans United Church

    ... Which begs another question; why does nobody know about these debates?    Why are we finding out about them through 3rd parties?

  • Government Grants $133,000 To Known Bigot - Lowell Green Aug 26, 2022

    Lowell brings today's Sun article from Brian Lilley to our attention.    In it, Lilley explains that The Community Media Advocacy Centre, run by Laith Marouf, received $133,000 in handouts from the Government in order to assist him in spreading his message on how to fight racism to the media.


    Except... Marouf is on record for calling the people of Israel "Jewish white supremacists."  He also referred to Jewish people as bags of human feces, used the N word to describe people of colour, called French Canadian people "frogs" and Christians "bitches."

    Despite being warned by colleagues, Ahmed Hussen, the minister in charge of Canadian Heritage, approved the grant.

    And we also discuss the media's fixation that, during a meet and greet, Pierre Poilievre shook hands with Jeremy Mackenzie (currently facing firearms charges after and RCMP raid on his Nova Scotia home).    Lowell suggests that Poilievre very likely had no idea who the man even was as this happened at a campaign event open to the public.

  • City Of Ottawa's $60 Billion Climate Change Master Plan - Lowell Green Aug 25, 2022

    The outgoing Ottawa city council, on July 6th, voted for a $60 Billion climate change master plan.   Yet only the Lowell Green show is talking about it.

    In the plan, we sill see the construction of 710 wind turbines within the city limits.   We will see 36 square kilometers devoted to solar farms.

    Additionally the plan calls for:

    - Elimination of all fossil fuel use within the city

    - This includes banning the use of gas powered cars

    - Banning of cars in whole areas of the city

    - Banning natural gas appliances

    - Requiring new homes and buildings to be heated with electricity

    - Existing buildings be converted to electric at the expense of the owner


    Cost to be covered by:

    - $118 car registration per year

    - tolls to travel on city streets - GPS tracking of your travels required

    - Daily fee of $20 per vehicle to enter city of Ottawa

    - Permits to park on city streets

    Lowell is VERY concerned about environment minister Stephen Guilbeault's comments that we have to move to "a non livestock lifestyle."


    The energy industry has come under fire from this government, there's a plan to cut back fertilizer use by 30%, which will affect crop outputs and food supply and now a plan to rid the country of agriculture.

    We've had days where the comments come in fast and furious... This show beat all records.

    And, Lowell discusses Maxime Bernier's rally in Winnipeg where he claims to be the only true Conservative, and how his interference could very well set the Liberals up to move forward with their environmental plans which, Lowell says, would damage Canada's economy for generations to come.
