#ShareTheMicInCyber is a critical online conversation campaign on systemic racism in cybersecurity while shining a light on amazing Black practitioners... and providing career opportunities.

Changemakers Camille Stewart and Lauren Zabierek came together to make the campaign a reality. Since mid-2020, the campaign has turned into an incredible movement within the cybersecurity community and has grown tremendously. The nature of war has changed, from being traditionally oriented towards annihilation, advantage and glory to that of armed politics. The recent escalation of state sponsored cyber-attacks and political posturing over technology has effected a cyber-cold war, with nation states and their proxies vying for superiority in a virtual arms race. This situation took an ominous twist recently in a review proposing that Britain could use nuclear weapons in response to a devastating cyber-attack. In this session we look at the different dynamics of what global warfare will look like in the 21st century and how cyber defenders can better prepare for what’s to come.
