Episode 5 is an Interview with the Archispeak Podcast Crew of Neal Pann, Cormac Phalen and Evan Troxel, at the CONSTRUCT Conference in Long Beach, California in Fall 2018. (Please excuse the background noise, because we were in the banquet room). After we rearranged the stage with furniture, we found the time to do the first part and finished up afterwards before Neal had to catch a flight back to Northern California.
Neal A. Pann, AIA, LEED AP
Neal Pann is an alumna of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California with over 30 years
of architectural experience in the design and production of residential and commercial projects throughout the
San Francisco Bay Area. He is a licensed architect and a LEED Accredited Professional that has worked on a variety of residential project types from single and multifamily homes, affordable housing, some commercial tenant improvements and forward planning (final maps, improvement plans, landscape and architectural approvals) plus the design and construction of his own house. In addition to practicing architecture, Neal is involved in the local community, created and co-hosts the Archispeak Podcast.
Evan Troxel, AIA
Evan is a Senior Designer, Associate Principal, and Director of Digital Practice at HMC Architects. (Now on his own with TECT, an app that plans on revolutionizing the materials rep industry.
He’s a maker,
problem-solver, author, blogger, podcaster, father, adventurer—he never slows down and is a true lifelong
learner. He is forever curious and always testing and adopting new concepts and technologies to work smarter.
Cormac Phalen
Cormac Phalen, located in the Washington DC area, is an alumnus of Auburn University with over 20 years of
architectural experience in a variety of building types ranging from recreation, educational and commercial
projects that spans up and down the east coast. In addition to practicing architecture, as a combat veteran of the
US Army, Cormac is involved with veteran charity organizations and is one of the co-hosts of the Archispeak
Podcast.
