More About Dr. Mary Gardner
There is nothing better to Dr. Gardner than a dog with a grey muzzle or skinny old cat! Her professional goal is to increase awareness and medical care for the geriatric veterinary patient and to help make the final life stage to be as peaceful as possible, surrounded with dignity and support for all involved. A University of Florida graduate, she discovered her niche in end of life care and is the co-founder and CIO of Lap of Love which has over 230 veterinarians around the country dedicated to veterinary hospice and euthanasia in the home. Dr. Gardner and Lap of Love have been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine, The New York Times, the Associated Press, The Doctors and numerous professional veterinary publications. She also won VMX Small Animal Speaker of the year in 2020!

More About Linda Pflughaupt, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager
Linda is from Houston and has been in the veterinary field since 1993. She joined Bissonnet Southampton Veterinary Clinic in January 2000. She is part of Lakefield Veterinary Group and currently oversees two locations. Linda graduated from Texas Woman's University with the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Human Resources Management. She is a member of Veterinary Hospital Managers Association and received her Certified Veterinary Practice Manager certification in October 2005.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, visiting her son and grand-dog in Fort Worth, playing with Hank and Tater Tot, her two Golden Retrievers, and cat, Kitty Smalls.

As a veterinary business advisor and a veteran practice manager with more than 19 years of experience, Mr. Halow has helped dozens of veterinary hospitals understand how to build stronger teams and responsibly and ethically grow their businesses. He is a frequent contributor to Veterinary Economics and DVM 360 and is a member of the editorial advisory board for the Fetch360 veterinary conferences. He has been an invited speaker at all the major U.S. veterinary conferences including AVMA, AAHA, NAVC, Western, Midwest, CVC, IVECCS; state associations, and international conferences like APVC, OVMA, and the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association. He is a regular speaker at the annual veterinary management conference in Wales and addressed the Veterinary Management Association at the House of Lords, London, in June 2018. He is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, the PVMA, founder and member of the New Jersey Veterinary Hospital Management Association, founder of the Big Apple Veterinary Management Association in New York City, and proud member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association.
