Are you ready for some football?!??!!?! We are coming back off the bye to face a program that has given us fits. Concordia University Ann Arbor is the only team we have played more than once with a winning record against us. We are 1-4 against them all time but 1-0 at Wildcat Stadium. They are the only Mid-States program to beat us on the field since the 2020-21 spring season. To get you ready, Erik talks to senior offensive lineman Grant Foes and Fred talks to senior wideout and special teams stud Carter Huffman. Safeties coach Koby Orris also joins Fred to talk about his time as a player and coach. Join Fred, Chad, and Erik as they get you ready for the stretch run.
Fred & Erik wrap another dominant performance against that school out east while Chad travels to volleyball. Then it's bye week so the players have the week off from talking to us also. Fred sits down for a great conversation with the coaching staff. Each coach shares a little about the program. No game this Saturday so no game to review next week, We will get more interviews than normal next week. Enjoy the weekend.
There is just so many great things happening that they don't all fit in one podcast. So for the BIG Homecoming showdown with that team from out east, Wildcat Roundup has gone into overtime. If you like this format let us know on "X". @IWUfootballpod is where you can give us your opinion.
Two teams that score a LOT of points take the field in Wildcat Stadium this weekend as the team from across the county comes to town. Finally, Erik and Fred get you ready for the Trojans. No Position Group on this pod, but come back for Wildcat Overtime as Fred speaks to the QBs.

Last season, they tied for a conference title. This weekend they meet as non-conference opponents, but the result is still important to both programs. The Wildcats travel to Indy to take on perennial MSFA power Marian in a inter-division match up. This one is for bragging rights and playoff seeding. Fred, Chad, and Erik recap last weekend's dominating victory over St. X. Fred talks to the three relative newcomers in the running backs room. Fred talks to senior WR Nick Shirley and Chad jumps in to interview the "other" Bays in the program senior LB Luke Bays. We'll also get you ready for Marian with history and records on this week's roundup.
For just the 2nd time this season, the Cats have a home game this weekend!! Before heading back to the road, the team hosts perennial playoff participant St. Xavier. Chad is enjoying "the Road" so much he didn't make it in this week so Erik and Fred take on previewing the Cougars by themselves. Fred talks to a room full of corners before speaking with seniors Tristen Hayes and Jaylen Brown. Hope everyone is headed to Wildcat Stadium this weekend as we will get you ready for this Battle of the Cats!
This week is the 3rd (and final) trip to Chicagoland this month. This week's stop, the University of St, Francis (IL) in Joliet to take on the Fighting Tumiltys. On the road to the Chicagoland area for the second weekend in a row. No post game interviews after last weekend's 20-17 loss at Valpo. Fred, Chad, and Erik discuss the loss a little but move forward for a preview of a matchup with a very familiar foe. Fred talks with the leaders in the tight end group and to senior safety Preston Sykes and long snapper Isaiah Hayse.
After a resounding home victory against the 2x NAIA National Champion St. Francis program, the Wildcats take to the road again in week three. The 'Cats invade Brown Stadium on the campus of Valparaiso University to take on the NCAA FCS Beacons. Neither team has won away from home in this the fourth meeting in this rivalry. All three of the previous meetings have been very competitive. It's the first night game in Brown Stadium since the 'Cats visited in 2022. A 50-yard field goal in the closing minutes of that game provided the difference. This week Fred talks to the safety room as well as one=on=ones with Sr., DB Daniel Schager and Sr., WR Myles Cox.
