Second Russian arabesque Body and legs same as in the first Russian arabesque.  The arms on the side of the supporting leg are going far back, so the audience will see the arm behind the body.  The other arm is extended forward. Head is turned toward the audience.

Jacklyn Dougherty First Russian arabesque Body is supported on one leg.   The working leg is lifted at a right, greater angle to the supporting leg. The body is inclined forward from the waist, with an arched back. The arm on the side of the supporting leg, extended forward. The other arm out to the side a behind the second position.

Arabesque ouverte  Supported leg is straight.  Working leg extended near the audience, at right angles to the supporting leg.  Upper body leans forward.  Arm on the side of the supporting leg held in front.  Other arm held back parallel to the extended leg.
