Today Titus, Grant, and I spoke about different teams in the NBA that are having different starts to the season than originally predicted. We were talking about if we should overreact or not to these teams having odd starts to the season. For example, we talked about how the Pacers are having a tough start compared to what people thought they were going to be doing. In Grant & Titus's opinion was that the Pacers would continue to struggle (so he is "Overreacting") and I think the Pacers will pick it up a little (so I am "Not Overreacting"). We will be doing one of these types of episodes once every 2 weeks intertwining with our current league review for the NBA. We had Grant on here for the first time (of many most likely). Bulls Championship bound?
Today Titus and I went over our picks that we made in Episode 6 "NFL Week 10 Preview". We made some bold picks throughout this week and some of them worked out, while some of them really did not work in our favor. Although we had lots of different teams for some of the games, we have the same record at the moment (7-6-1). We will have to see who gets more picks right for Week 11.
Today Titus and I did a ranking of all the starting Shooting Guards in the league. This is the 2nd episode of our "ranking NBA positions" series. We did a PG tier list that was pretty controversial, and this one is similar in that aspect. We did not talk about our rankings before the podcast, so these are our raw reactions to each others positioning of each starting Shooting Guard around the league.
Today Titus and I ranked the starting NFL Quarterbacks in order from 1 to 32. We had some big disagreements with players like Kirk Cousins, but for the most part we agreed with the general area of our QBs. We both have some bias with our favorite teams, so Trevor Lawrence is probably a little too high for my list and for Titus, he probably has Jalen Hurts a little to high, but it is definitely better than the last time we made a QB list (off camera he had Hurts as a top 5 QB...)
Today Titus and I discussed the crazy state that the NBA is in right now. For example the Bulls, Cavs, Wizards, Bucks, etc. are all very big surprises so far this season. Some teams that were projected (by us too) as lower tier teams, are playing exceptional this season, whereas, some top tier projected teams are playing like mid-low tier teams so far this season. We will have to see throughout the season if this continues to happen. Our format will be to flip flop between current NBA talks and a ranking of some sort (with the NBA podcasts). The same type of process will happen with our NFL side of things (we will do a QB ranking to start off coming out November 17th, 2021).
Today Titus and I previewed week 10 and talked about a new thing we will be starting where we try and predict the winner of each game for the week and whoever predicts the most right after week 18 gets some sort of reward that we will think of in the future.
Today Titus and I did a ranking for each starting point guard. We compiled a list of the starter from the most recent game for each NBA team. Our lists were made differently (his was statistics based and mine was more talent based). We had some big arguments with some players, One in particular (Damian Lillard). We will continue to make a 1-30 list for each NBA position (SG, SF, PF, & C). Hope you enjoy this new series!
Today we had a guest speaker! We had our friend Mason Hoyle on to talk about the crazy week that was week 9. Throughout this week, the jags beat the bills, the broncos beat the cowboys, the titans beat the rams, etc. My super bowl prediction was bills v rams, so this was quite the surprising week. (As a jags fan, It was quite the awesome week too). Josh Allen LB > Josh Allen QB?
Today was one of our shorter episodes about our top 3 predictions for sixth man of the year, most improved player, rookie of the year, defensive player of the year, and most valuable player. Titus then gave his hottest takes for the NBA season that he had written a couple weeks ago.
