Loneliness is an epidemic according to the surgeon general. Loss of connection to others is as detrimental to your health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. One of the most vulnerable to a sense of loneliness is young people, especially as social media continues to influence mental health. In response, Dr. Vivek Murthy, the Surgeon General, is going on a nationwide “We are Made to Connect” college tour this month to strengthen relationships on campus.
