How does God put marriages together?

The Lord has been teaching me on the subject of marriage. There are a lot of people asking, wondering and praying about their spouses...Marriage is a beautiful desire to have because the Lord created it and there are so many benefits to running and finishing your race when you're in partnership with a significant or should I say "comparable" or "compatible" other. 

However when it feels like we haven't met that person and feel like it's our time for this desire of marriage to be fulfilled we can start to panic, worry, stress and be anxious about it. We can all easily succumb to such "feelings"  and to be honest I found myself absolutely needing to navigate out of such an emotional dilemma. As I always like to do, I run back to the Father, put it in his hands and asked Him to teach me how to approach the subject of marriage.

And of course, the Loving Father that He is, He did! In parts 1 and 2 I share some new revelations from how God has put marriages together in the past.

And what better place to start than with the first marriage in the history of mankind? In the beginning, after God had given Adam his purpose...

In Gen 2:18 - And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” And as Adam was busy going after the Father's business

In Gen 2:20 - So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. (You see, Adam didn't even know he needed a wife but the Lord knew!!!)

Now in Gen 2:21-22 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22 Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

There is so much revelation here, God formed Eve according to Adam's likeness, nature and compatibility and after he was finished forming her, He then turned around and brought her to Adam.

When you do things the Lord's way, sometimes you don't even need to pray, He just delivers the thing. Adam didn't pray for Eve, Boaz didn't pray for Ruth and neither did Ruth pray for Boaz and also neither were each actively seeking a partner. I know this takes Faith to approach this delicate issue in this fashion but I have decided to and I want to challenge and encourage you to do the same. WE CAN DO THIS 💪🏾🙏🏾

We explore how speechless communication works between human beings. Have you been in a room with someone and thought the same thoughts? This could be attributed to non-verbal cues, how about when you text someone far away and they respond with "funny, I was just thinking about you..." How are two people able to think about each other at the same time? Coincidence? Enter "Spiritual hardware" that our bodies (minds) communicate through, through our thoughts which are signal carriers!!!

In this series:

We explore the interrelationship between our natural world and the spirit world. Both have different laws that govern them and we go on a journey to understand how the fundamental laws that govern natural law are very similar to those that govern the spiritual realm.

More specifically, we travel down to the level of the unseen building blocks of the spirit realm and physical world - this world is called QUANTUM!

In Quantum Faith meets Quantum Physics, we get to understand and explore curiosities such as; the power of words, was our world really created by words? can our words change matter? Can you speak things into existence? Positive and negative confessions, all of this apparently comes down to the existence and understanding of the QUANTUM WORLD.

At the Quantum level, things that can’t be seen by our natural eyes start to appear, infinite possibilities exist but they can only be brought into reality by the Observer effect in the natural world and by Faith in the spirit realm.

Hebrews 11:1 (AMP) says: Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

Hebrews 11:1 (AMPC) says: Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

Wow - faith is the assurance…faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses, faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses…

And Hebrews 11:3 (AMP) follows with:

By faith [that is, with an inherent trust and enduring confidence in the power, wisdom and goodness of God] we understand that the worlds (universe, ages) were framed and created [formed, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose] by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible

Turns out Jesus Christ might have known something we didn’t when he spoke to the fig tree and cursed it and it died or when he said “All Things are Possible to him that believes..”

Scientists are now discovering, that this just might be the case when you look at the world through the Quantum lens.

As we tread along in this series of Quantum Faith meets Quantum Physics, our objective is to learn how these two unseen realms - to the natural eye affect and impact our daily lives.

In Matthew 6:9-13, when the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, he used a very profound statement that I believe holds important keys to our understanding of the relationship between heaven and earth. 

In verse 10 Jesus said; "...your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is heaven..." We can't just brush over this statement! It implies there are systems of operation in heaven that we could potentially duplicate here on earth and eradicate all our problems on this planet and Jesus was giving his disciples this inside information.  We explore this!

We dive into the power of putting on your new identity in Christ! In Luke 5:34-36 Jesus said that you can't put new wine in old wineskins but new wine must be put in new wineskins! To reap the benefits of new-possibilities-opportunities-ideas etc., we must first put on a New Mindset that doesn't carry around past failures, trauma and disappointments.

We decode God’s thought processes and patterns - our case study is the life of Joseph. Like many of us, Joseph was born into a loving family - his father loved him but that resulted in envy and jealousy from his other siblings. From the outset, we see glimpses of Joseph’s character because scripture tells us in Gen 37:2 - "When Joseph was seventeen years old, he often tended his father’s flocks...But Joseph reported to his father some of the bad things his brothers were doing."

Based on the character trials we see Joseph overcome later on in his life, it’s inevitable to think that this statement; “...Joseph reported to his father some of the bad things his brothers were doing…” is some insight into how well-rounded and of good character Joseph was from early on in his life. He must have been the kind of employee every company would want and we clearly see this alluded to by how Potiphar (Joseph’s master - to whom Joseph was sold as a slave) can’t stop raving about his service, productivity, loyalty, obedience and problem-solving skills. Scripture tells us: “...And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand…”

Lucky for Joseph, the hand of God (Blessing, Protection, Love and Favour) was on him as he encountered other unfortunate events in his life.

Joseph was wrongfully accused of rape by Potiphar’s wife and he ends up in jail. Even in jail, somehow once again Joseph rises to the occasion of impeccable service in jail and as a result, the prison warden who can’t help but notice his manner of service gives Joseph responsibility for his fellow inmates and their jail duties. While in prison, he exercises his gift of interpreting dreams for other inmates. Two of which happened to have been servants of the King - Pharoah. When Pharoah has terrible dreams he can’t interpret, Joseph is called to the rescue and this is his get-out jail card. Joseph rises to the occasion again, interpreting the two dreams - one forecasting seven prosperous years for Egypt followed by seven disastrous years of famine. Joseph not only interprets the two dreams but also gives Pharoah a backup plan - a SAVING and INVESTMENT plan.

Pharoah is blown away by Joseph’s wisdom and he elects Joseph as the second in command over all of Egypt.

Things exactly unfold the way Joseph had interpreted them - seven years of plenty and prosperity followed by seven disastrous years of famine - only Egypt has a plan to go through the famine. During the seven years of famine - while other economies are falling apart, Egypt is striving off Joseph’s plan to store 20% of all the food and grain during the seven years of plenty. Joseph builds a powerful economy during years of recession. From one valuable commodity (grain), he scales up Pharoah's empire by acquiring all the livestock and land. He then establishes a credit system, wage system and tax system. This story has it all!

For any Christian to perform at their peak spiritual potential or peak spiritual capability, they must exercise all seven of these muscles daily!

Apostle Paul urges us in 1 Cori9-24-27 that the stakes and rewards of spiritual warfare are higher than sports and spiritual training is much more a necessity than the kind of training professional athletes go through because losing a sports game might cost you a trophy but losing a spiritual battle might cost you your destiny. Worse it could cost you your life!!!

What is the Christian Checklist? Well think about pilots, it doesn’t matter how many years they have been flying, they must go through a specifically curated checklist before take-off.

Likewise as Christian believers., it’s now more important than ever to become methodical in our Christian walk with our Heavenly-Abba-Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pail warned us of the perilous times in these last days when he told Timothy in 2 Tim 3 that;

“But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].”

Likewise, Peter warned all believers around the world when he said; “...Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour…”

As the battle for souls comes down to the wire (Jesus fighting to redeem souls and satan fighting to take as many with him down to hell), the heat of this battle is only going to intensify and as Christians, we don’t want to be caught in any crossfire…

Paul tells us in Eph 6:13; “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

We need to start approaching every day with a soldier mindset - we should approach every day out in the world as going out into the battlefield.

In comes ‘The Christian Checklist’, just like you take your car for a routine service-check up at the mechanic and they do maintenance checks against a standard checklist, Christian believers should be tuning up the different areas of their lives, depending on your weaknesses and strengths.

Some areas might call for a daily tune-up while others might suffice with a bi-weekly tune-up. Nonetheless, Christians need to be armoured up in each area of their lives because being strong in one area of the Faith can sometimes leave you open to attack through another area and we definitely can’t afford this in these perilous times.

We don’t want to give our adversary any opening whether it be through our physical health, emotional health, purity, finances, love walk with God, family, brethren, authority etc.

Use The Christian Checklist as a tool to tune up and service your Believers Walk of Faith.

The last three weeks have been very everything - I became an uncle for the first time and along with the highs of this little human in our lives has come many new perspectives on life, particularly regarding Compassion. In the Gospels, we read about several instances where "Jesus was moved with compassion". I can see why the multitudes flocked to him. If we each lived a life of compassion towards each other I'm starting to believe that this alone could solve most of the world's problems! In my short encounter with this new perspective on compassion, I can sense a difference in the type of decisions I would make now versus not too long ago. 

Also, be challenged to understand and dig into the complexities of our existence and this thing called 'Life'. Don't just arrive at conclusions prematurely without taking time to examine the world around you. And worse still, don't arrive at conclusions built on second-hand or third-hand information. 

These verses in Proverbs 1:20-33 clearly make this point:

20 Wisdom calls aloud outside; She raises her voice in the open squares.

28 “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.

29 Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord,

The point is don't arrive at conclusions prematurely without the depth of understanding because it will be to your own detriment!!!

Tune in and hear what he had to say. He used the surroundings to illustrate this without even using any scripture. Just like I was challenged, I pass this challenge on to you to start thinking about the world in first principles...the main one being; Words Govern everything we see and do!
