Nope, you're not skallucinating, Jam Sandwich is back with part two of our Skatober festivities. As soon as I committed to this themed batch of episodes, I knew I had to invite Mike Conway back to the studio. After discussing 60s ska last week, we dive into the late 70s with the all time classic One Step Beyond from London's very own Madness. This album rules but since I know Mr. Conway is a skannoisseur I also asked him to bring in an assortment of his old ska 7"s. Given the choices, you better believe we jump straight into some Skankin' Pickle. So roll up the cuffs of your baggy trousers and move to the beat cause this episode is sure to skamuse your wildest fantasies!

Glückliche Skatoberfest! Back in August I complained on air about the frequency in which ska is brought up on the show. Friend and frequent guest Marty DeRosa suggested I embrace the phenomenon and dedicate a full month to the genre, thus Skatoberfest was born. All October long, I'll be releasing a special Skatoberfest themed episode, each and every Thursday, along with the usual Tuesday drops. I'm really gonna try my best to play some brilliant ska music because it's out there and it doesn't deserve the wrath it so commonly receives, but to be fair, there's gonna be some crap too. We gotta get around to the 90s at some point. In this first installment, Marty joins me as we dig into the music of Prince Buster and Jamaican super group The Wailers. Pull up your lederhosen braces and skank to the beat! PROST!!

Like Iggy Pop in the 1980's, this episode is a real wild child. I'm FINALLY joined by one of my best friends in the world, Chris "Irish Eyes Are Smiling" Moran. I spelled his name differently in the title because A. he's a teacher and quite frankly I don't want any of his students to discover this naughty show and B. he sometimes calls himself Curtis Morgan. I'm not sure why, but it pleases me so. But wait, that's not all. My lovely wife Claire once again joins us in the studio because she not only lives here at the Palace of Sin, but she's also super tight with Mr. Morgan. He actually lives in the apartment above ours so we all hang out constantly, often spinning wax. This episode is the closest I can possibly get to capture shooting the sh*t at my place on a Friday night, cause that's when we laid this bad motha down. Best of all, we listen to Morrissey! FINALLY!! So many personal Jam Sandwich fantasies are being fulfilled in dis bish. We spin Viva Hate and Vauxhall & I, which would've likely happened had the microphones been on or not. We dig into some power pop classics, spinning both the Raspberries and the Vapors, while discussing Chicago's best hot dog stands, our OG AOL screen names and the merits of taking your young lover to an empty baseball dugout. After several technical hiccups, Jam Sandwich is finally broadcasting from my new studio, the Palace of Sin. I say "hiccups" because I recorded an episode with our good friend Goodrich Gevaart, but then I fudged something in post and lost the audio. Durr... So, in a tight jam, I invited my beautiful wife to get up off the couch and join me for another session, despite the fact that she was just on the show. No Super Producer Dan this time around, but his spiritual presence helped guide us towards the light. This episode also marks a new edition to the show, as I'm able to plug my turn table in so we can listen to vinyl. This means guests can bring over their favorite records and we'll blast it on air. I'm stoked to say the least! To break in this momentous occasion, we give Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 a spin while I may or may not get a little too sexual with my better half sitting across the table. Since it's just the two of us, sitting in our home, having drinks on a Sunday evening, you get a real sincere portrait of domestic bliss. I also push the boundaries of acceptable dialogue and at one point my wife is literally just screaming the word "DIVORCE" over and over again. If at any point you feel like things get uncomfortable, just know that after the show we totally made up. Sexually. Join us won't you?

After taking an unplanned holiday last week, Jam Sandwich returns in classic form. On today's episode, Super Producer Dan and I break in the all new Friesen Point Studios after I botched my first attempt with home recordings. We listen to The Cure and Joy Division, talk about our sexual awakenings, and briefly contemplate time. There's a few little glitches in this one, but you probably won't even notice. If anything, it just goes to show whatta scrappy lil' show I run for you, the people. If there's one thing I want everyone to take away from this one it's "Respect the space of others, you stupid licker." Oh and go 'like' the facebook page cause I found a scan of the page from Madonna's sex book (mentioned in the episode) which I will include in the posting. You'll dig it. 

Today's guest is my best one yet because after the show was finished, I got to go home and fornicate with them. For the 25th episode I asked my wife Claire to join me at Friesen Point Studios to discuss our favorite shared band, Belle and Sebastian, along with the two songs that played during our wedding and some other crap. I have to wonder if I sound different considering my better half is on the show. Early on Claire suggests that listeners might get exposed to my "more sensitive side" but I'm not sure how true that is given my bride's natural gift for toying with my libido. Either way, she's an absolute sweetheart and I love her with all that I got. In fact, from now on, I'm gonna be sensitive as fcuk. All feelings, all the time, from here on out. This episode of Jam Sandwich is best enjoyed with a saucer full of milk, so lick it up kitties. 

Today's guest has many titles. If you've seen him perform stand up comedy, you might know him as Sammy Arechar. Perhaps you know him by his work on the ones and twos as Yung Zucchini. His mother calls him her "sweet prince." The Milwaukee native joins us today and he brought with him I Need A Haircut by Biz Markie. Such a solid album. Thanks Yung ZUCCH! When that wraps up we play the 1999 EP A2G by Blackalicious. We also drink A LOT of beers on this one. Count the can cracks and guess who went the hardest. The odd turn with this episode is Sammy is such a nice young man and it's probably the dirtiest episode yet. I apologize in advance for the fact that I keep talking about that one thing. Ugh, I'm so ashamed I'm trying to be discreet here in the details. I should change the name from Jam Sandwich to The Greasy Toilet Pig Fcuk Show.
