This is another free lesson in the Jamaican language. In this segment, I ask why a human would want to use something called gorilla glue on their person. I also highlight the relationship between the Jamaican philosopher Marcus Mosiah Garvey and reggae superstar Bob Marley.

In some countries, they have myths about mermaids living in the sea, distracting sailors and leading them to their death. In Jamaica there is a similar myth but our beautiful, mysterious woman is a  Rivva Mumma which live in our rivers and also attract people to come to them but when they try they drown. In this episode of TALK JAMAICAN, I tell listeners when I first heard about Rivva Mumma. As usual, I speak in both Jamaican Patwah then English so you can continue to learn to speak like a Jamaican. This is another free lesson, to teach you to understand and maybe later,  even speak JAMAICAN PATWAH. In this episode, I express my surprise at the fact that white evangelical Christians hold up Donald Trump as their model, despite the fact that he probably holds the world record for lying. I, therefore, ask the question; which bible do white American  evangelicals use?

This is another episode designed to teach listeners to speak and understand Jamaican patois (pronounced Patwah). In this episode, I highlight the fact that although Jamaica is physically a minuscule island, it has produced many world beaters in different genres. For example; the late Bob Marley's music is still being played almost everywhere in the world; Usain Bolt has left an unbeatable record and although Jamaica has never had snow, our bobsledders enter the winter Olympics regularly. In contrast, the large USA has never had a female Vice President much less a black one, but it took a Jamaican migrant to help that huge country with a humungous population, to change that!

As usual, in order to teach you to talk like a Jamaican, I will do a commentary in Jamaican patwah then explain to you in English what I said. So enjoy. 

My view

All over the world, people are celebrating the defeat of Donald Trump at the polls in the elections in November 2020 in the USA. For Trump had been a particularly wicked and uncaring president. So in a short four years, he has sullied the reputation for decency which the USA has always enjoyed. However,  despite his defeat, millions of supporters are very much around and many are well-armed. So, black people will have to be particularly careful, for those supporters are totally racist.. The world wishes the incoming president, Joe Biden, and his running mate, Kamala Harris, all the best and the USA a rapid return to civility.
