James Xplores The New Mutants

This week we'll be taking a break from our regular Xploration of the New Mutants as we review New Mutants the movie. I laughed, I cried... no I mean it I really cried... and I was confronted by unchecked racism. We’ll break it all down in this week’s episode.

In the 58th episode we’re x-ploring The New Mutants #51. And it turns out that Kitty Pryde was right, “Professor Xavier is a jerk!” In this quiet episode Claremont takes a moment to take stock and reset team. Have the students out grown their teacher? Dani thinks so... Xavier’s not so sure.

In which we Xplore The New Mutants #50. We’re getting the band back together. An overwhelmed Illyana is discovered by Xavier and the crew of the Starjammer. The team also faces of in a final battle against Magus. Who do you think saves the day for the New Mutants?

In episode 56 we Xplore The New Mutants #49. Cannonball, Mirage, Cypher and Warlock have been dropped in an alternate future on Earth 87050. The team discover a mutant Utopia and human nightmare. While fight along side the rebellion to help the humanity survive they are forced to confront their one time friends and teammates.

In which we Xplore The New Mutants #48. After Illyana attempted to return the team to their present timeline. Something goes wrong and the team is split up and scattered across time and space. Half of the team joins future adult versions of Cannonball and Mirage to do battle with Sentinels in a future similar to Days of Future Past.

In this episode we Xplore the New Mutants 44. Enter Legion! Legion trashes Muir Islands labs and heads for mainland Scotland. The New Mutants must stop Legions rampage while contending with Rahne’s past!
