From writer-director Kevin James Barry ("Among Them", "Serena and the RATTS"), the pic "GRIDLOCKED" follows the Los Angeles-based punk rock band through their ten day tour of the west coast with personal interviews with the band's frontman, Joey LaRocca. From Joey's engaging perspective, the film explores the sometimes harsh and other-times intensely rewarding lifestyle of musical artists. Joey must navigate a musical career that fell short of his youthful expectations as it collided with the realities of maturing and gaining family responsibilities. Hollywood, California-based Kristen Schalk has danced in music videos and showcased at events from Charlotte to Atlanta to Orlando and, of course, on the west coast.  And, along the way she has been training with one of the best in the business, Chuck Maldonado.  A four-time award-winning choreographer for his work with Stomp The Yard, the NAACP Image Awards, Chris Brown’s Grammy performance, and Bright House’s Network commercial, Maldonado has choreographed and appeared in major motion pictures, worked with many major recording artists, and worked in several commercials.

Furthermore, Kristen has started into songwriting, both on her own and doing co-writes. She is a member of NSAI and has been active with the Los Angeles chapter. She has been forming connections with writers, artists, and producers for collaborations and one of her goals is to release an EP of her own music.

And if that’s not enough, the acting bug has bitten, and Kristen has been laying the groundwork to pursue work in that arena as well, taking acting classes in the Hollywood area.

Storytelling is the key to sautereau's authentic, raw sound. Born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland, she picked up her first guitar at the age of 8 and quickly started writing songs. She began her career under the name Cee and released her debut EP "As I Keep on Dreaming" at 18, in 2019. This project about human relationships and the small perplexities of life saw two of its four tracks playlisted on main Swiss radios.

Now based in New York, the singer-songwriter decides to go by her last name, "sautereau" to create a world truer to herself. Her bare-face pop sound blurs the line between reality and what goes on in our heads, as she writes intimate songs about her experiences. With influences such as artists like Finneas, Julia Michaels, and Jessie Reyez, her unapologetically honest voice is accompanied by production that is modern and crisp.

Dark Star Pictures has acquired North American rights to Wes Hurley's feature Potato Dreams of America. The film received positive reception at its premiere at SXSW and its Los Angeles premiere at Outfest 2021. Dark Star Pictures will release the film theatrically on January 14, 2022, followed by a VOD/Digital release on February 22.
