Steve Ganz has been a close friend of the Windjammers for a long time, he is now with the PDGA and doesn't live in NorCal now, so we decided to have him join us on our podcast. He has done a ton for disc golf especially with his contributions to the PDGA website. This conversation was recorded before the Paige Pierce and Nate Perkins podcast came out and we got some things wrong regarding the cancellation of World's, so we were not able to address all the parts that we got wrong. We will be having Steve Hill on soon to clarify some things regarding World's and why it was cancelled. We really enjoyed this conversation with Steve and it is a fun listen. Hopefully we can get Steve on again soon!

Jeff Spring has recently taken the reigns of the Disc Golf Pro Tour and we are super stoked at what he has brought to the table so far. With 2020 being the year it has, we wanted to talk to Jeff a little and see what he has in store for the future of the tour. We got his insight on what is going on as far as scheduling for 2020, how to grow the sport to be bigger than it ever has been, and on the killing of George Floyd and the current protests going on. Jeff is a remarkable person to have involved with the sport and we are excited to see what the future of the DGPT looks like.

As huge fans of sports here at the shop, we definitely dabble in some sports betting. When Matt Winter hit us up on Twitter and suggested we talk to Dustin Gouker, we instantly were in. He runs a series of websites that all have to do with online legal gambling. The world is becoming more and more digital everyday and the gambling industry is no different. One of the biggest questions we had was how close we were to getting odds for select disc golf tournaments, whether it be DGPT or one of the Majors. Part 2 of our interview with Avery Jenkins, 2009 World Champion. Avery is an advocate for disc golf and has been a part of the biggest moments of disc golf. One of the cool nuggets we learned in this interview is that he has been to every World Championship since 1991. The man is one of the most knowledge people still in the game due to how much he can relate to both the former era and the current era. He is a bridge of some sort to the modern era and he has so much to offer the sport. The man heads up the Discmania team and is an integral part of Disc Golf Park. Avery is still affecting the game with his course design and the Discmania Combine. The man has an eye for talent and will continue to impact the sport for years to come.
