A new class action lawsuit from the Legal Aid Society and Disability Rights New York aims to end the overincarceration of people with disabilities. Stefon Short, Staff Attorney at the Legal Aid Society’s Prisoners’ Rights Project and Joshua Rosenthal, Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness Staff Attorney at Disability Rights New York, explained the new lawsuit.
