Your Nightly Prayer šš¾ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. -1 Kings 19:4
DEVOTION
Based on 1 Kings 19
This verse captures a deeply human moment in the life of Elijah, a prophet who had just experienced incredible victories for God but now finds himself overcome with exhaustion and despair. Alone in the wilderness, Elijahās cry, āIt is enough,ā reflects the weight of his struggles and the depth of his discouragement. Even those with the strongest faith can experience moments of overwhelming doubt, fear, and hopelessness.
Yet, this passage is also a powerful reminder of Godās tender care. Following Elijahās plea, God meets him not with rebuke but with provision and rest. God sends an angel to minister to Elijahās physical needs, offering food and water, and gently calls him to rise and continue his journey. In the wilderness, Godās presence is a lifeline, reminding us that He sees, cares, and strengthens us when we feel at our lowest.
Take a moment tonight to bring your burdens and feelings of āIt is enoughā to God. Breathe out your weariness, and breathe in His compassion. Trust that He meets you in your wilderness moments with love and provision.

SUPPLICATION: Father, when I feel like itās too much, remind me of Your presence and strength. Meet me in my wilderness moments with Your love and provision. Help me to trust in Your plan, even when I feel weak, and give me the courage to continue the journey Youāve set before me. Let Your peace and comfort fill my heart tonight.
PRAYER
āLove is patient and is kind. Love doesnāt envy. Love doesnāt brag, is not proud, doesnāt behave itself inappropriately, doesnāt seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesnāt rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.ā
1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-7
Dear Heavenly Father, I know that if I am rooted in You, the fruit of love will manifest. The fullness of love is found in Your Spirit, so I pray You would anoint me in abundance. I want my character to be formed by You so I may live effectively for Your Kingdom. Root me in love, anchor me in truth, and send me out with boldness. I trust You to transform me from the inside-out as an agent of love and change in a world of darkness and hatred. In Jesusā name, I pray, Amen.šš¾
