  • EP7: What it's really like being a business major?

Y'all ever wondered what it's really like being a business major? Yeah, me either. Jk, this week's pod is a deep dive into all the imposter syndrome and pet peeves being a business major entails. In conclusion: college is still a scam.

  • EP6: My College Dating "Horror" Stories

Welcome to the voluntary exposing of my poor dating choices.  You've arrived.

On a real note though, dating is hard, and having stigmas around apps, going on multiple diff dates and exploring, or even just fighting the fear of being judged makes it all even harder. I hope at least one of yall can relate or else I rly exposed myself for nothing. Don't be a Walter.

  • EP5: Mukbangs and Mental Health ft. Jason

I’m back this week for a lighthearted episode with my friend Jason (@JasonIsEating) talking about YouTube, our creative hobbies, and our (pretty bad) experiences going to college therapists. I wanted to have Jason share his story with bipolar disorder to shed light and more insight on the stigmas outside of the more common anxiety and depression we hear about today. Although mental health convos between friends are becoming more common, we still have work to do, so check your biases, friends!

  • EP4: Are young Asian Americans Part of the Problem? #BLM

Hi. I hope you are safe and healthy. Here are some of my thoughts and feelings for this mid-week episode amidst the ongoing protests for Justice for George Floyd, Black Out Tuesday, and the overall role young Asians play in the Black Lives Matter movement. We are living through history. Let's learn together through empathy and compassion.

  • EP2: When Your Parents Own a Chinese Restaurant ft. Jenny

This episode hits really close to home as my good friend Jenny and I discuss growing up with our parents working in many service jobs and owning their own Chinese restaurants. This is a super common path for Asian immigrants alongside being small business owners for gas stations, liquor stores, or nail salons due to language barriers and lack of skills. Jenny and I discuss the impacts of growing up in this environment, our memories at the restaurant, and reflect how the experiences influence us today as first-gen college students.

  • EP3: I Peaked in Middle School

Hi friends, this third episode is much more light-hearted than the previous topics as I take a trip down memory lane through the cringe, ugly fashion, and questionable trends of our middle school years from around 2010-2013. I always joke about how I feel like I peaked in middle school, and I wanted a chance to reflect on why I feel this way. The verdict is that it was really my happiest days when I was able to truly be myself without too much judgement or feeling self-conscious (aside from looks ofc). Did y'all feel the same way or the complete opposite?

  • EP1: College is a Scam (still go tho)

My first episode woooot! Today, I’m talking about how college is a scam, but not really. As a saying popularized by meme boards everywhere, I talk about current events surrounding the College Board getting sued by high schoolers over AP tests and how the UC system is phasing out SAT and ACT requirements. The scam of college begins super early on (especially for Asians investing in that SAT prep and Kumon), but why do I still go to college and why is it still worth it for me?

  • Pilot: Jasmin's Tea? Who's She?

HI. Welcome to the pilot of my podcast where I talk about why I'm even here because I know.. I'm irrelevant :)

I wanted to create a space where I could discuss anything and everything relatable as a first-gen, American-born Chinese, and Gen-Z-er over different cups of tea recommendations (milk tea is not off-limits). Since I've turned 21 in quarantine, I've realized I just had far too much to say and decided this was it. After hyping myself up for 2.24 hours, here I am. Topics range from cultural identity and what it means to be a young Asian American in 2020, spicy college lifestyle topics, and current events. My goal is to create personal and empathetic content for those in their late teens and early twenties to relate to (bc it's a struggle bus out here) through sharing my opinions, giving unsolicited advice, or laughing at my own jokes. I hope to hear you around :-)
