The Rise and Fall of Chaz Oregano will be available in late 2023.

In the dystopian realm of Tasmania, where oppression and inequality thrive, a young and passionate anarchist named Eilex Turen embarks on a perilous journey towards social and economic justice. In The Rise and Fall of Chaz Oregano, a gripping tale set against a backdrop of political turmoil, Eilex finds herself caught in a web of revolution and deception.

Eilex, driven by her ideals and fueled by a burning desire for change, rallies against the oppressive regime of the Old Boys—a reactionary and quasi-fascist militia that seeks to maintain its stranglehold on power. With unwavering determination, she confronts their injustices head-on, risking everything for the cause she believes in.

Amidst the chaos, Eilex encounters Chaz Oregano, a legendary and revered figure in anarchist politics. Drawn to his charismatic persona and revolutionary reputation, Eilex falls deeply in love with Chaz. Together, they become an unstoppable force, inspiring others to challenge the status quo and fight for a brighter future.

However, as Eilex becomes more entangled in the world of radical politics and Chaz’s enigmatic presence, she begins to question his true motives. Doubts and suspicions arise, hinting at a hidden darkness within Chaz’s past and his sudden appearance in the radical scene. Eilex finds herself torn between her love for Chaz and the nagging uncertainty that shadows their relationship.

As Eilex delves deeper into the heart of the struggle, she uncovers shocking secrets that unravel the very fabric of her beliefs. Betrayal and revelations intertwine, forcing her to confront the truth about Chaz, his intentions, and the sacrifices required for real change. In a world on the brink of revolution, Eilex must navigate treacherous waters, where loyalties are tested, and the line between hero and villain becomes blurred.

The Rise and Fall of Chaz Oregano is a gripping and thought-provoking tale of love, revolution, and the complexities of the human spirit. In this dystopian Tasmania, Eilex Turen’s journey will challenge perceptions of power, ideology, and the sacrifices we make in the pursuit of justice.

For the first time, my novel The Zimmer Insurgency is available as an audiobook. Coming June 2023, the full novel will be available on all major audiobook platforms. In this episode, listen to the opening of the novel in this long-awaited preview.

Five generations after the Panamerican Revolution and the West is a very different place: Washington lies in ruin, Atlanta is under martial law, and Saskatchewan is used as an execution yard for political dissidents. Florida, Manhattan and half of California are under water. Everything south of Bolivia is hounded by cloned dire wolves as big as bears. Psychedelic breastmilk is the drug pandemic of the day. Cash currency has been abolished and drugs, fake names and sex toys are bought underground with heirloom jewelry. In the Falklands, pirates are training penguins to sit on their shoulder and parrot back punchlines. And in Haiti, an escaped enemy of the state plots an overthrow....

It's April of 2165, and the Republic of Panamerica is about to secure their interstellar Manifest Destiny. Five moons some twenty lightyears away have been discovered, with just the right conditions to support human life. Yet as Panamerica goes through the final preparations to launch, Kayla Zimmer, a former inmate in a secret prison camp, has an agenda of her own.

El Presidente and his continental banana republic would have this day go down in history, and it's about the one thing Zimmer agrees with him on. This is their proudest moment, and the time for her revenge....

This week we conclude our story on Josephine, the femme fatal assassin hunting down a corrupt official in Auckland.

Post-apocalyptic New Zealand. Join Jason Shannon as he brings you the first novella from his collection The Moon Panther - The Conquest of Qongqor Caine.

Insurrectionist. That’s what they would call her – and the punishment for it was the most obscene she could even think of. It terrified her to her core, but that’s what she was: an insurrectionist. She waged war against the state in secret, she assassinated state officials.

With a prince in the other room, she’ll go after her most ambitious target yet: Dzuku, divisional tax overseer for Waikato, New Zealand. This will be the first time she’s left the mainland, the first time she’s done the deed surrounded by imperial security. And she’ll do it without her sword or her bow, dressed to the nines in stilettos and a backless dress.

Dzuku deserves to die; of that, she is certain. As to whether she’s the one that should be endowed with such a power – the grand arbiter – this is the question, above all others, that will eat at her....
