Sometimes you need to do the thing that people tell you not to do. This poem is a bit of the Hughes that take no L's, a bit of the Pain that takes no T's. All 2005. Follow your dreams.

A Gentle Reminder that Things Don’t Get Easier After Adolescence.

Why?

Because…

J.R Midas would like to take you back to a time before high-speed internet. Getting away from the problems of today and entering into the seemingly laughable crises of yesteryear. Simple straight up no frills poetry that is easy to understand, to connect with, and to dissect. Depression symptoms? Phase?  Immaturity? The delivery attempts to go back to a time long forgotten and speak to the feelings of adolescent convictions- without insulting such an important time period for growth, "inner-conflict-resolution" and life changing moments. Midas uses his past work as the compass for progress, growth, and maturation over the course of 2 decades.

**Like any Artifact, some of the work needs to be patched up here and there.  These poems come gently modified from it's original form.

Page 4. The Open Book Chronicles. A display of over-exposure. Stepping into the shoes of a much younger J.R. Midas; to express a tempered level of exasperation and hopelessness felt during this time.  Not realizing how important of a question "WHY?" truly is.  It hurts because that's the nature of life young Midas.  "Love is reciprocity.  Love does not exist on a one-way street". - J.
