The Celtics start their season 1-0 with a 126-117 win over Philly after a Raining Jays Masterclass. The Jays combined for 70pts total on 35pts each. As impressive of a night as it was from them, we saw everyone contribute in a major way. Marcus Smart and Malcolm Brogdon showed that they can 100% coexist and Derrick White, although his scoring dropped off, looked phenomenal defensively as well. We saw a lot of Vonleh and Blake minutes due to Al Horford foul trouble but both of them held their own and then some tonight.

While the Celtics still turned the ball over and fouled a LOT in the first quarter, they reigned both of those in ending the game with just 11 turnovers. I was also surprisingly happy with their rebounding as well tonight thanks in large part to Tatum's team leading 12 boards. This was an impressive win and an overall special night as the Celtics wore their City Edition jerseys in remembrance of Bill Russell. What a great start to the regular season.
