Leise ist das neue laut - willkommen zur Weihnachtsfolge des JAZZ MOVES SCHNACK mit San Glaser! Plätzchen backen, holländische Tüten und die vielfältige Schönheit im Jazz sind einige der Themen, über welche die gebürtige Niederländerin und halb-Indonesierin im Podcast spricht.
Sie lebt bereits seit über 20 Jahren in Hamburg und hat fünf eigene Alben veröffentlicht, wovon das aktuelle namens THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SAN erstmals Arrangements aus dem Great American Songbook enthält. Auch diese "andere Seite" von San Glaser lernen wir im Podcast kennen.

Mut zur Authentizität, ein Karriereweg dessen Route vom österreichischen Salzkammergut ausgehend über New York nach Köln führt und eine über 80 Aufnahmen umfassende Diskographie - all das sind Bestandteile des Werdegangs und der Karriere der Saxofonistin Karolina Strassmayer.
Heute ist sie Mitglied der WDR Bigband, Professorin an der Musikhochschule Essen, Bandleaderin und Mentorin vor allem für junge Frauen die ihren Weg in den Jazz suchen.
Im Jazz Moves Schnack erzählt sie von all diesen Stationen und davon welche Bedeutung es hat, sie als Frau zu erleben und zu erreichen.

Er ist Bassist, Komponist, Bandleader und Sideman, darüber hinaus Dozent und Produzent - Achim Seifert lebt und arbeitet seit zehn Jahren in Hamburg und erzählt im Jazz Moves Schnack von der Inspiration zu seinem aktuellen Album Dünyalar und seiner Faszination für orientalischer Musik.
Darüber hinaus spricht er mit Stephanie Lottermoser über sein Produzenten - Alter Ego Chim San und den Spagat zwischen ungeraden Takten und simplen Songstrukturen sowie über die heutigen Herausforderungen in der Musikbranche.

Der Schlagzeuger Dirk Achim Donau lebt seit seinem zehnten Lebensjahr in Hamburg und ist der Stadt und ihrer Szene stets treu geblieben. Als Bandleader und Sideman, als Lehrer und Dozent, als Bindeglied zwischen verschiedenen stilistischen Szenen und Generationen, aber auch als jemand der Impulse in die Szene gibt, sie weiterentwickelt und immer neugierig bleibt. 2023 wird er für seine künstlerische Tätigkeit, seine Experimentierfreude und sein Engagement mit dem Hamburger Jazzpreis ausgezeichnet.
Im Schnack erzählt er was ihm der Preis bedeutet, wie er die Hamburger Szene über die Jahre erlebt und mit gestaltet hat und was ihn immer noch inspiriert.
