Vocalist Marilyn Maye will sing four shows in two days at Crooners Supper Club beginning Sunday.

Kolyada, the Ukrainian word for Christmas carol, is the title of a performance by musicians representing such local groups as Orkestar Bez Ime and Mila Vocal Ensemble. Kolyada creates a narrative of Christmas traditions of countries around the Black Sea. It will be performed at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis, Sunday Dec 15 at 7PM. Renowned Minnesota songwriter Becky Schlegel is joining forces with the High 48s Bluegrass Band for a show at the Aster in Minneapolis, 9PM Friday December 13. It promises to be a night where the artists mix up the familiar with the unexpected. High 48s fiddler Eric Christopher told Phil Nusbaum that the group has long admired the work of Becky Schlegel.
