Jazzpod 014 - Henrik Bergqvist

In this episode, we give you another techno mix by one of our favourite house DJs - Henrik Bergqvist!

Henrik was one of the masterminds behind the legendary Stockholm underground club The Office and is one the most appreciated house DJs in Stockholm. He releases records on the labels Aniara, Bossmusik and Trouble in Paradise, which he runs together with Noah Gibson. After summer, he will have two solo releases on Aniara and Trouble in Paradise, one release together with Noah Gibson and appear on a VA-record on Aniara.

Jazzpod 012 - Sandra Mosh

Sandra Mosh is a Swedish DJ and producer. Since 2011 she runs a DJ-show on national radio “Musikguiden i P3” and is also working for another radio show, “Elektroniskt i P2”. She has played at the major clubs in Sweden and visited plenty of DJ booths overseas. She has also played at festivals such as Sonár, KaZantip and Way out West.

Since 2013, Sandra produces her own music. After a few remixes, she released her first solo release “Skallgång” on her own label MOSH Musik last year.

Johan Östman is based in Berlin and Stockholm, where he holds residencies at venues Under Bron and Trädgården. He is a curator of the biggest and oldest festival for electronic and experimental music in Sweden, Norbergfestival. He has also co-curated festivals such as Volt, Way Out West and RBMA Weekender, and is a founder of the promoter/DJ group Samlingen. His style combines contemporary sounds and movements in electronic music with courageous rhythms and timeless cutting-edge techno.

This mix features artists such as DJ Qu, Prince of Denmark, Sleeparchive, Skee Mask, Randomer, Delta Funktionen, Eomac, Breaker 1 2, MRSK and DJ Spider.

Jazzpod 010 - Y+M

Malin Evrenos & Ylva Lundberg, more known as Y+M, have during the last few years established themselves as a force to be reckoned with on the Swedish techno and house scene. With a constant presence in the Stockholm nightlife, Y+M live for the rougher side of house and acid mixed with stomping industrial techno, hypnotic melodies and gnarly baselines. They have recently got into producing their own tracks on top of their residencies at several prominent clubs including Berns Gallery 2.35:1 and Slakthuset. Y+M have also warmed the decks for major DJs/producers like Shed, Marcel Fengler, Blawan, Psyk and James Ruskin and played at events such as Sónar Festival & RBMA Weekender.

Jazzpod 006 - Sthlm Murder Girls @ Under Bron

In episode six, we present a live recording by Sthlm Murder Girls from Under Bron, 20 March 2015. If you attend clubs, festivals or techno parties in forests and basements in Sweden you are probably already familiar with Johanna Schneider and Philippa Pacho, also known as Sthlm Murder Girls. When they are not playing as residents at Under Bron they enlighten dance floors all over Stockholm, Berlin and other cities. It is easy to understand why they are among the busiest DJs in Sweden. Johanna Schneider also runs the label Bossmusik.

It is not very often that a mix captures that special club feeling, but this is one of them.
