We know the best way to see what fills our days is to see how we act under pressure, today we look at Jesus under pressure and how he responded and are encouraged to walk in a similar manner when we face hard times so we overflow the grace and glory of God to others.

Show Up - Purpose

John 17: 14 - 19

Today we are looking at Jesus showing up in the middle of the in-between season.

That season sounds a lot like,

What am I meant to be doing now?

I am not very happy with what I am doing.

I don’t really feel like I fit in much at the moment.

This might be a result of the pandemic and all the isolation, all cutbacks at work or finical struggles or relational strains.

There is a sense in which purpose is missing from where you find yourself.

This morning we unpack when Jesus shows up in our lives to in-still purpose.

That despite everything going on, Jesus is still present and is still calling us to be sent into the world for a purpose found in Him alone.

Show Up - In our Death

Never before has death felt so close to us as a society, this pandemic has shaken our very foundations and security in life and has left us with lots of fears and questions. In this message, we look at when Jesus shows up in our death, or rather how He has already shown up and conquered death and how that truth allows us to find peace and hope for our own death.

This pandemic has left us all a little more fearful of each other, of getting sick and of the unknown, today Jesus shows up in our fear and ask the tough question, why are we so afraid? Knowing Jesus did not promise smooth sailing for us as believers in life but he does promise to be with us through every storm until we make it to the other side.

Today we start our new series called "SHOW UP" and we are looking at when Jesus Shows up and how we are the church are called to show up for people, to be there to help and support, to love and cherish one another.

Today we are unpacking when Jesus shows up in our doubts. That doubts are a stepping stone to deeper faith and not an exit sign away from God.

Philippians 4: 11 - 20

Today is all about true contentment. Learning to be satisfied despite our circumstances and possessions.

Let’s be honest that contentment does not come very naturally to us.

We seem to be hardwired to just always want more. We have shifting generations that move between wanting to make money, to having adventures, or just accumulating stuff.

But there is in each of us this pursuit for something more.

Advertisers know how to exploit it, video games now how to manipulate it and pornography knows how to abuse it.

No matter how hard we push and try we never find that level of contentment our heart longs for.

Solomon equates it with “chasing the wind” we just never get there.

Today we look at the words of Paul in learning to be content with little or with much.
