In this episode we detail what people in the path of Hurricane Sally can expect. We also delve into a myriad of updates about a few new tropical storms, as well as an impressive record that was set today in the tropical Atlantic.

Tropical Storm Sally is forecasted to impact the Gulf Coast with strong winds, destructive storm surge, and flooding rains. We’re also monitoring Paulette as it impacts Bermuda. Bear with my speech impediment lol.

A beautiful early fall air mass will dominate the northeast to start the week, and it will likely be reinforced by areas of high pressure dropping in from the north. Another tropical storm, now near Florida, has formed and is taking aim at poor Louisiana. Other systems and tropical waves lurk further east, but right now they don’t look like they’ll head our way.

More rain is forecasted tonight as a cold front approaches. Also, we have reached the peak of the Atlantic hurricane season and it couldn’t be more evident. Bear with my slight speech impediment lol

The threat of heavy rain exists tomorrow with the approach of a cold front. We time that out, as well as delve into the meaning of the term precipitable water

We’re expecting seasonable, but rain weather on Wednesday and Thursday. Also, Paulette and Rene are churning in the Atlantic, but will likely remain fish storms.

We’re going to have a fairly typical September week in the northeast, including a gorgeous Labor Day. The front range of the Rockies is going to see heat, smoke, gusty winds, snow, and cold. We’ll get into how this is going to come about. The tropics remain all systems go, but the pattern is becoming one that might make that less impactful here.

Late tomorrow this warm and extremely humid air mass will bear fruit and likely produce a round of severe weather as a cold front moves through. Tropical storm Nana will threaten land, and a couple of other candidates for tropical development are emerging.

We’ll finish August out in a beautiful way. After a few showers and storms, cooler and drier air will drain into the region in time for September, courtesy of a tropical system. This one won’t be a problem, but other storms are in the Atlantic. We’ll also watch the mugginess make a return for a time late in the week.
