Carli Lloyd enjoy retirement.   One of the greatest to play soccer.
Yanks made up 10.5 games on the Red Sox in less than six weeks.  The Mets have lost five straight going into the Wednesday matinee vs the SF Giants.  They're currently 59-60 and Steven Cohen isn't happy.
Jack Morris stick to broadcasting.   Stupid and racist attempt at a very bad accent referring to Ohtani.

Not bad for a first start.  Diamondbacks pitcher with his dad in the stands Tyler Gilbert thows a no-no vs the Padres.
I know it's preseason football and I don't want to get too excited but Justin Fields looked pretty good for the Bears.   Sam Ehlinger looked good too for the Colts in the game winning drive vs the Panthers.
Can the NFL do their own version of the MLB "Field of Dreams?  Why not.

Yankees have another player go on Covid list.   Have had 12 players sidelined this season for a variety of injuries and Covid-19.   Playing 7 games straight right now and 11-4 going into today.   Sox are 2-10 in last 12.   Good time to get hot.
NFL preseason starts tomorrow but don't expect to see a lot of starters playing.   Love hearing that Jets QB Zach Wilson saying he's ok making mistakes during practice.   That is the place to try out things.
New book about Giannis shows Jason Kidd in what people are saying not in a good light when he was coach of the Bucks.   He was one of the greatest NBA players.  He hasn't done great as a head coach.   He gets another shot with the Mavs.   Let's see what he can do with Luka.  
Baylor football gets off with probation.  NCAA really does a good job disciplining schools.   Sorry that was sarcasm.  
Dennis Schroder bet on himself and lost.   But good luck with the Celtics this year.

Congrats to the USA 2020 Olympic Team who trained and excelled at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games.  A pandemic couldn't stop them.  From the Women's Volleyball team winning their first gold. the Wrestling team winning 9 medals, basketball Men and Women winning Gold, Simone Biles and the swimming team.  So many stories.   Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi won their 5th Gold Medal.  Allyson Felix won her record 11th medal in Track and Field surpassing the great Carl Lewis.  All of them are winners.  Thank you for all the joy you brought me these past two weeks.

Lionel Messi end of an era with Barcelona.  Where will he end up?
Yanks season high 9 games over .500 and Mets lead in NL East has shrunk to one game.   Not a great year for NYC MLB baseball.
USA Basketball going to play France again for Gold.  Props to USA Baseball will be playing Japan again for Gold and USA Women basketball has the semifinals against Serbia.  
USWNT gets bronze beating Australia 4-3.
