Quickly, D'Artagnan, to the Musketeermobile! A superb Thursday crossword in which, yes, the THREEMUSKETEERS play a prominent roll, and a WHEELIE fun time was had by ... ONE? by ALL?

Jean & Mike solve this puzzle AMAIN, Mike requests a BROWN BETTY, and both are amused and somewhat bemused by that notion that COLLATE is an advanced photocopier instruction.

We're a FAN of this puzzle. The bottom-right corner in particular STYX out, although there were GEMSTONES throughout. Our favorite discovery: TNT used to be used as a dye, before they started using it for explosives, which sounds potentially NASTY.

Tip Tuesday is coming up ... this Tuesday, listen for tips on how to improve your crossword solving skills.

A toughie for a Friday! Jean did SUPER(Bly), but Mike is MOROSE, wearing sackcloth and ashes in honor of his dearly departed streak -- THATSASHAME.

    Some sample clues:

    1. Sent = ONCLOUDNINE
    2. Classic works by the poet Martial = EPIGRAMS
    3. Do minimal work and succeed = SKATEBY

A crossword that really works the old GRAY cells. Jean found it to be a nice Thursday crossword, Mike felt like he was trapped in a BLACKHOLE, and CANST believe that he was able to (eventually) solve it.

One of the authors of today's puzzle is Jeff Chen, who runs xwordinfo.com -- check it out, it has excellent crossword resources.

This puzzle was a SMASHHIT, with EVERYTHING that you could want in a crossword: delicious BAGELs, a reference to Marvel superheroes (THOR), and, Mike's personal favorite, CLOWNCARS.
