Jed A experienced his first exposure to pornography at 9 years old when he was out riding a little motorcycle his dad had purchased for him and his brother. He had stopped to explore an old barn and found some pages someone had stashed away. His entrapment with addiction covers a span of nearly 20 years culminating in finally reaching the point of humility where he admitted that he was an addict and needed help. Throughout two full years of counseling and 12 step work Jed experienced the wonderful healing of the attachment ruptures that had been left in the wake of his addiction. His experience working with a professional counselor who specializes in pornography addiciton lead him to a decision to go into the field and to also specialize. He has been working as a licensed therapist for 10 years now and practices online using HD video conferencing which allows him to work with people all over country and even with some people overseas. Today Jed will be talking about how addiction causes attachment rupture with the self, with God and with the spouse and then how recovery brings an opportunity to restore secure attachment in all of these relationships.
