Jeff Cavanaugh - Trust the Tape

If you guys don't know by now my favorite thing in the NFL Draft is trading down. This year that could be challenging but today Bill Barnwell wrote about the teams who should want to trade UP in the first round. How can the Dallas Cowboys get involved in that mix. We'll take the teams that Bill thinks could move up and see how a mock draft plays out for the Cowboys moving down. Plus some names including Luther Burden have started disappearing from first round mock drafts. Does that make him a Cowboys possibility in round two? Who will lead this Cowboys backfield? David Moore in the Dallas Morning News says Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders won't make it easy for a rookie to take the reins. We buying that? And who is going to be CeeDee Lamb's sidekick in the receiver room? Trust the Tape with Bryan Broaddus is right here for you.

Today Bryan Broaddus decided to blindside me with the idea of trading up for Travis Hunter. Watch me spin in circles and figure out if I'm on board with it. Plus we debate a bunch of the prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft and have an all around great time. Welcome to Trust the Tape featuring Bryan Broaddus.

Most of the free agency additions are done for the Dallas Cowboys. Let's talk with Bryan Broaddus about the additions Jerry Jones and company have made and if they will be better than they were a year ago. Here's what they've done so far.... Retained: Osa Odighizuwa Markquese Bell Bryan Anger CJ Goodwin Brock Hoffman Israel Mukuamu Trent Sieg Juanyeh Thomas KaVontae Turpin Tyrus Wheat Added: Dante Fowler Kaiir Elam Parris Cambell Robert Jones Kenneth Murray Jack Sanborn Javonte Williams Miles Sanders Solomon Thomas Payton Turner Is this making your team better? Or at least setting it up to draft and improve that way?

The Dallas Cowboys have had a busy couple of days with free agency and trades filling out their roster. Our friend and former Cowboys scout Bryan Broaddus joins us to talk about all these new additions and what you can expect to get from: RB Javonte Williams LB Kenneth Murray LB Jack Sanborn CB Kaiir Elam DL Solomon Thomas OL Rob Jones DE Payton Turner Plus we're going to end up in an NFL draft fight about Tetairoa McMillen and Travis Hunter.

The price tag for Micah Parsons contract extension just went up. This is the Dallas Cowboys/Jerry Jones special of waiting on getting a contract done with your best players and watching the market explode. Now people are going to talk nonsense about potentially trading Parsons. Plus its day one of NFL free agency and we'll give you what the Cowboys need to get accomplished in the next day or two. Bryan Broaddus joins me as he does every Monday and Thursday for Trust the Tape.

Bryan Broaddus joins me as he does every Monday and Thursday for another episode of Trust the Tape. The Cowboys just cleared a bunch of salary cap space and have the ability to do some shopping. Jerry Jones then immediately said they don't need to use free agency to fill voids before the draft. Which is confusing. Bryan's here to clear that up. Plus we're always talking NFL draft. Tet McMillen vs Ashton Jeanty, other targets at #12 overall, which defensive players make sense at that spot and how many guys do they need to sign before we go drafting? Could Davante Adams, Joey Bosa, DK Metcalf be in play for Dallas?

Bryan Broaddus joins us as he does every Monday and Thursday and today we take a look back and some of the winners and losers of the NFL Draft Combine from this weekend. How much did the RB group including Omarion Hampton, TreVeyon Henderson, Quinshon Judkins and others help themselves? Does it hurt Ashton Jeanty, Tetairoa McMillen and Mason Graham to have not worked out in Indianapolis? And which guys made us feel better about them being the Cowboys target in the first round? Plus, Osa Odighizuwa and Micah Parsons negotiations are underway. Can Jerry Jones get them both signed and actually get involved in free agency this offseason?

Bryan Broaddus of 105.3 The Fan joins me as he does every Monday and Thursday and today we've got big new draft news combine out of the combine in Indy. Abdul Carter has a stress reaction in his right foot and we've got the latest on what that means for the potential #1 overall pick. Plus Bryan's reaction to Mel Kiper mocking Omarion Hampton to the Cowboys in the first round, who he would LIKE to see picked #12 and who he's PREDICTING will be picked #12. And why are people telling me Mike Florio is talking about the Dallas Cowboys being interested in the #1 overall pick? And who would that be for?

Bryan Broaddus from 105.3 The Fan joins us to talk Dallas Cowboys free agency plans including the negotiations with Osa Odighizuwa, as well as which guys in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft have boom or bust potential. Plus you all know I love a good NFL Draft trade down. Can we find a good spot for that to work for Dallas?

Bryan Broaddus from 105.3 The Fan joins us as he does every Monday and Thursday and today we'll talk about what the Cowboys should do about impending free agent DT Osa Odighizuwa. They are in a really bad way at that position group if Osa leaves. Are they willing to pay what it costs to keep him? What about Jourdan Lewis? Rico Dowdle? Plus you know we're going to talk NFL Draft. Ashton Jeanty or Tet McMillen? Plus how do you evaluate a wonderful college player who doesn't quite fit the NFL mold that people expect?
