I'm continuing my series of episodes about making an album today. In this 2nd one I talked about some recent gear I've collected (a microphone for my phone & a synthesizer). I included some audio samples of each one, including the WORLD PREMIERE of the song "I have a new phone(who is this?)" and a long synthesizer loop you can fall asleep to (you're so welcome). I also discuss trying to come up with an album cover early & if doing it BEFORE deciding on the songs is a good or bad thing. Hmm. This episode was recorded in a parking lot on my phone. Woo hoo! My hope is to release these here and there to give people an idea of what goes into making an album that at the moment doesn't exist yet.

My sister Brittany Garmon has had a busy year with quite a few changes. I wanted to have her on so she could talk about what it was like to lose 80 pounds and then wrap up her time as an elementary math teacher to become a health coach (yes, I said changes). It's been fun to watch her grow so much recently and come out of her shell in a lot of unexpected ways. She and her family live in a small Texas town where high school football is king.
