Luke 5:17-26

Doing whatever it takes is never easy and it's often not very fun, but it's crucial in this life; especially as a follower of Jesus. This week we explore just what that means.

Luke 5:12-16

This week we look at the snapshot of Jesus' ministry where he came face to face with a leper. Not only does Jesus cross all cultural and physical lines by healing this man, but this passage shows us that he can and does do the same for us.

Luke 5:1-11

So often we think we know more than God. So we protest instead of following and doing what God has instructed us to do. This week we study Peter's reaction to Jesus during a fishing trip and we discover how following God's instruction (even when it doesn't make sense to us at the moment) can lead to a greater understanding of who we are and ultimately who God is.

Luke 4:14-30

As we look at Jesus' first recorded teaching in Luke's gospel we see two things:

1. People are utterly amazed at what Jesus has to say.

2. By the end of it, they want to kill him.

Luke 4:1-13

Everyone faces trials and temptation in their life. Even though we face satan, sin, and a fallen world, God uses every trial and every temptation for His own good purpose. This week we focus on how Jesus faced temptation from the enemy himself and how we can learn from Jesus' response.

Luke 3:23:38

"Christ is the kind of person who is not ashamed of sinners--in fact, he even puts them in his family tree."

Martin Luther said it best when describing the importance of the geneology of Jesus. He used regular people like us to help accomplish his wonders.

Luke 3:15-22

We all have expectations. A lot of those expectations lead us to disappointment. When we think about God and who He is, we sometimes have some expectations that can make us miss the reality. This week we explore our expectations about The Christ, The Good News, and God.

What does it actually mean to repent? This week, we take a look at John The Baptizer and how he defined repentance for a world that desperately needs the transforming power of Jesus.
