We are holy because God has sanctified us. There is nothing we have done or can do to accomplish what He has completed in us.

You shall consecrate yourselves therefore and be holy, for I am the Lord your God. So you shall keep My statutes and practice them; I am the Lord who sanctifies you.

Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
