The show talks about the comments from Titans TE, Delanie Walker, and if it will fire up the Texans and JJ Watt. Delanie Walker comments on the health of JJ Watt and how his performance shows he is not himself yet. The guys also go back and forth on if teams will use the Patriots blueprint to beat the Texans and whether the Titans will attack the susceptible Texans rush defense. It seems to the guys that people were a little too high on the Texans and that the team really did not play the best teams or the healthiest teams to start the season. The show brings up the new power rankings for the NFL and gives their takes on the Broncos being on top. The main question is if Siemian can outscore a team when it might be the case and the strength of schedule for the Broncos so far. Also, the guys discuss the Vikings success without Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson, as well as the Panthers tough start. Joel answers a question about why people thought the Vikings were going to take a step forward with Bridgewater. The guys go into the Austin Seferian-Jenkins story and break down his response to being pulled over and how he sounded. The show discusses car choices and go back and forth on their opinions on family cars.

The guys talk about some new details that have come out and just how sad it is to see such a young guy be taken so soon. The show talks about another Greg Hardy arrest and question his story. Also, the guys get into some discussion about the presidential debate and how a certain moderator was missing in action. The show dives into the Cougars-Huskies match-up on Thursday night. A little discussion about Tom Herman and how obsessive compulsive he is about football, and also in other areas of his life. The guys also talk about superstitions, cleanliness, and just exactly what is too far and what is something you can understand.

Joel and Travis talk about the Broncos quarterback situation and compare it to Brock Osweiler in Houston, in terms of money being paid. The show agrees on the fact that Denver’s defense does not ask a lot from their quarterback and they are playing incredibly well. Joel asks whether Osweiler is still “The Guy” for Houston after three games. Travis is a big fan of the way the Minnesota Vikings are playing defense and he believes that they are for real. A big match-up was between Odell Beckham Jr. and Josh Norman, Travis believes it was a tie regardless of Beckham losing his cool a bit during the game. The show also brings up the Texans defense and the issues that were exposed by the Patriots during the Thursday night game. Travis believes moving forward that the Texans rush defense was something to be worried about. Related to the Josh Norman and Odell Beckham Jr. feud, the guys talk about some of their most memorable sports fights like the one between Andre Johnson and Cortland Finnegan. Travis gives insight into how much trash talk is actual trash talk and how much is just love and respect. Joel asks about the Jalen Ramsey and Steve Smith incident and Travis goes into which players are real tough and which are fake tough. The show talks about some of the conditions players grow up in and how real things can get despite how it seems to the average fan.

The guys talk about if Art Briles should get another chance somewhere else for the 2017 season, like coming back to the University of Houston should Tom Herman leave. Joel and Travis believe that there are bad coaching jobs and that coaches should not pull a Charlie Weis and coach football at a basketball school. The show also bring up Broncos GM John Elway and his tweets and his obsession with getting back at people, especially a fan who called out his pick of Trevor Siemian. The guys also get into some college football action and look ahead to week 5 of the college football season. Wisconsin surprised Joel a little bit and the guys are loving another Watt brother who plays for the Badgers.

Blank and Travis discuss how Palmer paved the way for golfers like Tiger Woods. The guys talk about just how close a locker room is and the bond players have for each other. Also, the guys dive into the news of LSU firing Les Miles and how quick LSU made the decision. Auburn may have been the nail in the coffin but losing to Alabama every year made it tougher to keep him around. Naturally, Tom Herman drives the conversation and there are a few other coaches that Travis thinks LSU will target. Joel also discusses how Cougar fans should feel about the attraction Herman brings.
