How bad is C.J. Stroud's supporting cast, really?

The Jayden Higgins injury hurts, but the idea that Stroud suddenly has nothing around him feels like an overreaction. Nico Collins is one of the NFL's best receivers, Dalton Schultz is a proven target, David Montgomery and Woody Marks give Houston options in the backfield, and there are still receivers capable of filling roles around them.

I compare Stroud's situation to quarterbacks like Sam Darnold, Drake Maye, Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson - and explain why "C.J. doesn't have enough help" can't become a built-in excuse if the Texans offense struggles this season.
