I’m probably one IG motivational speaker away from losing my mind on the “Positivity Preaching” - Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly understand the need for keeping a “forward mindset” but, in a world where simple things like respect, kindness, and courtesy are scarce; not to mention external factors such as: hate, gun violence  poverty, inflation, War (yes, it’s still going) continue to thrive. To any “AWARE” or minimally conscious  individual, this idea of “Staying Positive” with all these happenings’  can feel as if you’re drowning and burning all at once. 

So, for today’s episode the Panel and I will navigate popular “Positivity” subjects ranging from the metaphysical such as: Karma and Faith, and more  down to earth matters such as: embracing  insecurities, ego, boundaries, the power of  negativity and whether that golden brick path to limitless “Positivity” is as simple as letting a particular “Someone” or “Something” go.

Wah Gwan? How you Dey, and What’s Good Y’all? On today’s episode which is also our season ender, the JJC panel lends a male perspective on the recent shift in abortion rights due to the US Surpreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. With the overturning of Roe v. Wade, a handful of states are adopting anti-abortion policies that are barring Women’s access to birth control and birth/abortion related medical proceudres previously affored under the Constitution. Is this issue unilateral or do the opinions of both Men and Women play a vital role in the matter? Also, what does this possibly mean for the future of other rights geared towards marginalized groups? (Brown vs. Board of Ed., and Same-Sex Marriage to name a couple)

Let’s not get started on these Supreme Court Justices now! Should Justices no longer be allowed to serve life-long terms? Is SCOTUS serving the best interest of Americans today?
