As President Dwight D. Eisenhower prepared to leave his presidential seat, he addressed the nation and passed on an often overlooked grave warning. John F. Kennedy in front of the American Newspaper Publishers Association decried a similar alarum. If at least sitting Presidents felt compelled to alert the American public of an ever growing power within the shadows of the government, then at the very minimum, general awareness should be spread far and wide right?
