The serpent ornament brings Mr. Truman to Numbers 21, where God healed His people when they looked at the bronze serpent lifted high. Jesus uses this moment to explain His own mission: He would be lifted up on the cross to save all who trust in Him. On the Jesse Tree, each sign points us to Jesus. Today we remember that looking to Christ brings life—now and forever.
