Hey there, music lovers! Hello my dear friends and welcome to my Week 14 Vibes Web3 Music Competition blog post! I am so excited to share my thoughts on this wonderful tune produced by Sam Feldt called "Better".
    ![InShot_20240626_202205520.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/Ep1XPoudu7BLSgEEbsrFqSU4sv7n6XhJ2NFxq1AtvugPvzrayimrknNPCsSHUDTF5CR.jpg)

As I explored Sam Feldt's discography, I felt like a child in a candy store. Special thanks to @lordbutterfly, who is one of the best hosts I've ever seen. Through him, I got a chance to join the Heartfeldt Discord and meet people who appreciate good music and positive attitudes.
When I clicked on the Spotify link to Sam FeIdt's songs, I knew I was in for a wonderful experience. Coming across "Better," I immediately connected with it.

First off, let me just say thank you to Sam Feldt for joining us as the guest artist and judge this week. We are glad to have you. To my Vibes community team @lordbutterfly, @silentscreamer and @verbal-d – you guys are the best!
Finally, I want to express my appreciation to [The Spirit Studios Productions](https://www.instagram.com/ezekielidowutsman?igsh=MXZlcjZnaGx1ZnJjcw%3D%3D) for helping me record my cover and enhancing the audio quality so impressively.

    ![BTJC sIDE 4.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/243BRS26VZn1vRUvJZ8WrN9wt37XRLcUvdsirSYdeEMexSEoFcJ98TdSZDPjcgqbzP6TE.jpg)

Now, let's discuss the track "Better". This song can make anyone feel embraced when they're having a tough day. It's all about hope and getting back up again, while the lyrics honestly address the hardships we go through. It's as if Sam Feldt is singing, "Sure mate, I understand, life may not always be easy, but it will hurt before it gets better."

    ![IMG-20240626-WA0076.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/23wMRunQxscDbaoFDgBiV5J9PBnfsUwHu3vCvQWhRQsMSdE5eboRTP135oTaDdxiqa6ur.jpg)

The song is like the friend who says it is alright to feel that way and it isn’t unique to you to be feeling like that. It says, ‘It’s okay to be a little bit broke and it’s okay to feel this way’. However, over time, with the necessary encouragement, and the willingness to face our feelings we can not only heal but thrive.

    ![IMG-20240626-WA0074.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/23wgAx1naWyPduutJCkqi7FjEoKuRVjYqYVMMas3iVUkWgnqcTsCnzcJvKj3uQqBUSBjZ.jpg)

The lyrics are great because they tell you to never give up no matter how difficult everything seems. It's like 'come on, love, you got this!' as if Sam Feldt himself is rooting for us and that voice behind you is enough to power you up.
But that's why I appreciate "Better" – it's a song that encourages the listener to embrace their uniqueness and know that they are not alone in struggling. It is a message that informs the audience that no one is alone in their struggles and that as long as one is brave and has a good heart, things would be fine.

    ### So, here are the lyrics to "Better" by Sam Feldt:
I know your heart's feelin' heavier than most
It's hard to talk when you can't pick up the phone
Feels like it's rainin' no matter where you go
You know who you are, come out from the dark
It's only timin' and time can run away
Oh, all this hiding will never numb the pain
'Cause only cryin' will take the tears away
    So don't fall apart
And every time you try to start a fight
When you lay your head at night
Even when your dreams don't make you right
Just know it'll only get better
    So come on, love
I know you try to live again, but you don't
It's okay to be a little bit broke
I know it's gonna hurt before it gets better
    Come on, love
I know you choke on every word that you say
It's okay for you to feel this way
I know it's gonna hurt before it gets better
I know it's gonna hurt before it gets better
I know it's gonna hurt before it gets better
So many questions, but you don't wanna ask
'Cause all the answers, they never seem to last
You know your future don't have to be your past
    So don't fall apart
And every time you start to lose a fight
When you lie awake at night
And every time you start to wonder why
Just know it'll only get better
    So come on, love
I know you try to live again, but you don't
It's okay to be a little bit broke
I know it's gonna hurt before it gets better
    Come on, love
I know you choke on every word that you say
It's okay for you to feel this way
I know it's gonna hurt before it gets better
I know it's gonna hurt before it gets better
I know it's gonna hurt before it gets better
    Come on, love
I know you try to live again, but you don't
It's okay to be a little bit broke
I know it's gonna hurt before it gets better
    Come on, love
I know you choke on every word that you say
It's okay for you to feel this way
I know it's gonna hurt before it gets better
**Disclaimer: I did my best with the lyrics, but might have missed a word or two. Enjoy the music anyway!**

  • Vibes Web3 Music Competition WK 13 🎵 - Mercy Said No
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=jessicaossom/lokzapfz
This is Vibes Web3 music competiotion week 13. For week 13, I did a cover of 'Mercy Said No' by CeCe Winans.
    ![InShot_20240612_023152190.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/AKRDMnjnWotH6CA8KqF65iBVHTbqqBujutcYmmxq5gcXSVvxf6C29JG4ULBrzE5.jpg)
This powerful gospel song by CeCe Winans isn't just conveying a message - it's a full-on celebration of the boundless, unrelenting mercy and loving forgiveness of our Almighty God!
Can you just imagine being at your worst and feeling like you are the lowest type of human being that you know? Experiencing such a severe level of guilt, shame, and regret for having erred or sinned in one way or another. For example, having a thought like, “I am in deep mess now; there is no way God could forgive me after committing this sin.
You’re crushed; bowed down; even anticipating the day that God will suddenly say, ‘Right, no more, you’ve gone too far, my grace is sufficient but you’ve exhausted it. ’ And so you gamble and pray a prayer that you cynically really do not have the right to pray.
But then. . . then the most wonderfully, shockingly real thing takes place!” God's infinite mercy doesn't meekly say "no" like you expected. No, it rises up like a wildfire, consuming every last shred of your guilt and shame! The lyrics deliver this extraordinarily uplifting image of God's grace quite literally kicking down the door to your life. It refuses to be constrained or limited in any way!
With a thunderous roar, mercy comes crashing in, overwhelming you with the perfect, all-consuming love of your Heavenly Father. In that sublime moment, you realize nothing could possibly separate you from His compassion and redeeming power. No pit is too deep, and no wrong is too grievous for mercy to leave you behind.
This is the jubilant message at the heart of "Mercy Said No" - that God's capacity to forgive is truly unstoppable and unlimited when you open yourself to it. His grace has no contingencies, fine print, or prerequisites. It simply flows forth infinitely to transform and redeem anyone who accepts it into their heart.
So let this song be a soaring reminder that you are never beyond the remarkable reach of the Lord's unwavering mercy! No matter how flawed, unworthy, or hopeless you feel, take comfort in knowing that God's love will never say no to redeeming your soul.

  • Echoes of Emotional Pain: Revisiting 'Hallelujah' for Vibes Web3 Music Competition Week 12
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=jessicaossom/bhyabhpz
This week, the Vibes Web3 Music Competition chose a powerful theme: Songs of Pain. As someone who has tried songwriting in the past, I felt inspired to write a song that could capture the raw emotions associated with pain. The result was a song I titled "At All Cost."
I was very happy with what I came up with and I asked two friends, @obaro and @edenmichelle to take a look at it and give me feedback. Still, I received their support and useful tips, but at the same time, I felt that I still needed to do something in some way.
The song still needs a strong hook here and there, and I also need to find an instrumental to sing over and see how it flows. I will keep it in my notebook until I know how best to make it come to life.
    ![InShot_20240603_204849379.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/AKwMJCersuNyZ2Zd2XSZQmKdTo3mm7us9D1wTwhjRKnoQD9T5RnFnLCdN184wah.jpg)
Interestingly, the song I wrote shares similarities with the one I chose to sing for this week's competition: As a counterpart to my original song, I turned to Alexandra Burke's moving interpretation of "Hallelujah," which stands out as a prime example of a song that conveys profound emotional pain. For those of you who checked my cover during the Eurovision-themed week, you might know that I sang this song.
Since I couldn't sing my original song, I opted for "Hallelujah" because both songs deal with the pain and confusion of a complicated relationship. They both express a sense of longing and yearning for someone who seems unavailable or uninterested.
In my original lyrics, I mentioned that the person says they want her "at all cost," but fails to make an effort to communicate. This is similar to the conflicting messages in "Hallelujah."
My original song is not a replica of ‘Hallelujah,’ but it symbolizes emotional pain, confusion, and heartbreak.
It is that kind of pain that reaches deep into our gut, the one that causes us to doubt everything we knew about love and makes us feel anxious, shameful and unmasked. It is a pain that most of us have at one point suffered from, a language which crosses all boundaries and demonstrates the frailty of spirit. These songs touch the emotional chords and bring a lump into the throat, a tear into the eye and makes us feel connected to the singer and everyone else who has gone through similar ordeals in life and who has hope of a rebirth.
Although the songs’ texts and tunes differ, the themes and emotions are similar. As I go further with the writing of my own song, it is very reassuring to know that one can fully vent through other artists' songs.
“Hallelujah” has become the temporary channel for the emotions I wished to express in “At All Cost. ” Composing a song that can encompass the depth of feeling is not always a simple task when inspiration seems far away and out of sight.
I can relate to this personally because I’ve written two songs in the past but was unable to continue writing them for quite some time. But the theme of “Songs of Pain” woke up the desire to continue creating music in me, and for this, I am grateful.
And as I move forward on this path, the music will guide my way, and help to understand what it means to be alive and part of this world. Indeed, this is what music is all about – to establish one’s connection with others based on common experiences and emotions.

  • The Most Special 6th Birthday 🎂
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=jessicaossom/zntcgyse
I thought it is only right to share this touching post and the unique birthday video I made under the Creative Sunday celebration for this blog because they both inspire, both in terms of love and creativity, the fabulousness that went in to making my son’s sixth birthday memorable. By combining pictures, beautiful videography, and appropriate music to create a heartfelt program, I wished others could get ideas and creativity in terms of how to commemorate their children’s childhood.
    ![InShot_20240602_174852878.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/EokfThbQKMDkmd24MmFczvtM5kW1dYhcfRSVcGmtetTR6c7mtQVyBdzPGtL8C65GtY8.jpg)
This post is not just a recap of a birthday celebration that happened; rather, it is a celebration of art, a statement of the great relationship between a parent and a child. In this case, I believe that by having a glimpse at our personal lives, they will inspire everyone to appreciate what they have as well as come up with a better way of making their happy moments more special. Anyway, this is what Creative Sunday is all about – the idea that every day, we are filled with creativity and can bring some small change to the world through our stories.
    ![InShot_20240602_175247350.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/Eq1177s4ekKQSrQdnhh8RjoFUGMC9rDV8V27h6W3WkdzScHKw7gsgqBEhE9xfFgrthZ.jpg)
Nothing can be as fulfilling as watching your child all happy and excited about something. The joy, the happiness, the entire face glowing like a candle on a birthday cake…These are the moments that, as parents, we wait for, and cherish in our hearts forever. The moments that people wish to recall and cherish in their memories for the rest of their lifetimes.
    ![IMG_20240602_130952.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/242NqZfKMEunpfpj6BURwE76uvrC49kyQViHZouL8KnYaNaqk3N7TR1rruCZjAFssuqmo.jpg)
But, that is where the photographic and videographic technologies come in to the rescue. My son having his birthday on June 1st, I took it upon myself to capture his special day on camera and turn it into a memorable movie he can watch when he grows up. Meant to be more than just an application for photo sharing. A brimming birthday picture spectacular!
    ![InShot_20240602_175929804.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/EoEruPXBktcbpL3qEPXLXsHiifBBooyuqPtQpwsdGqtRXxJxxRah5H9e8TY1JjWCHbz.jpg)
The birthday celebration started with a song from our family, singing the ‘Happy Birthday’ song while his dad brought in extra soft drinks. If you could have seen our little man sitting there like a little king pin, enjoying all the affection. But wait, it cannot be a birthday celebration without a cake, which I had discreetly arranged to be bought at a local bakery later in the day. The plan was to bring it to church the following morning as a surprise for him.
    ![IMG-20240601-WA0135.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/23wgUMELqog5QPbDVxQ4QZeCQvtT3Qoujs2wqu9ppdrNhn2VXL3RhJt6cL33N5N7qsMW6.jpg)
June 2nd came and my anticipation was so high I felt like a little boy who has been waiting for Christmas eve. Not only was it Creative Sunday which is the perfect time to unveil the birthday video I had creating, but it was also our church’s Thanksgiving Sunday. My son looked so handsome in the senator cloth his dad had bought for him.
    ![InShot_20240602_180609821.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/Epxv3ZAxHNMX7fkTpNVyADqtcXgZTnfQ1Rk9zczfFrJyV2DNJDAoojuip2HaU8SjFaq.jpg)
When we were called up to the altar to share our testimony, I stood tall and proud beside my boy as he thanked God for another year of life, family, and friends. His sweet little voice, so full of gratitude, moved the entire congregation.
After the service, it was time for the grand finale - the cake reveal! As we gathered around to take pictures with our church family, I unveiled the gorgeous creation. You should have heard the gasps and oohs and ahhs. It was a masterpiece! And the look on my son's face? Priceless.
    ![IMG_20240602_130906.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/23w2uhqgxSiQRsh8qWtmMJePKK3ieSGTjoesn1waakpwvhVbtCpe5T4rKVMweAViU4arq.jpg)
But the blessings didn't stop there. My wonderful neighbor, the one who so generously baked the cake, surprised my boy with yet another specially packaged treat. And as if that was not enough, the husband to my sister decided to offer him cash as a gift.
It is rather ironic how the love just kept piling in. Overwhelmed with joy and with hundreds of memories captured in my camera, I hurriedly went home in order to create the perfect birthday surprise. I chose each photo and each video clip you see in this documentary and I edited them all, syncing with the uplifting song “Undignified” sung by Dunsin.
    ![IMG_20240602_131210.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/EpA43D5bQQeVYAbkbGKKy2DUqWdiftdgvDm6aLcVpaWpwFCBM86EMobdQpDyjBvHUSs.jpg)
Finally, it was ready. I sat down at my computer, sighed, typed away, posted it on the Facebook page and waited for the likes and the comments to come pouring in.
Although, I am not usually active on facebook, but I save stuff there so I can always look back and smile.
    ![InShot_20240602_181205752.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/Eq39uM3XgpVFoDYrZCP7djAJQf8CXJMe5hAVbd2KRoVRkafqgg97rjW4QmsNoEyBMPz.jpg)
Finally the most precious gift you could ever wish for? Sit back and watch his reaction to watching the music video for the first time, his big round eyes full of joy and happiness. “Mommy, did you make this for me?” He asked in a very low tone as if he didn’t believe what he was seeing. I was too overwhelmed to say anything so I simply hugged him close against my chest and wished him a happy birthday again.
The birthday video I created depicts the great love that a mother has towards his son and how strong their bond is. A reminder that, no matter how grown up he becomes, the path that life chooses for him will never change the fact I will always see him as my baby boy. And I will always stand or sit in the corner and cheer him up.
    ![InShot_20240602_181824929.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/EoAc7nzyemjmhsmenDJM4ySjuVgrFGVktEoochARt1mBMGrAeubUVCzN1BUoijoTPas.jpg)
So here are my words of the day for you, my sweet darling at 6 years: May your special day be the sunshine to brighten and warm your whole year, full of smiles, happiness, and new discoveries. And May this video be something you can watch time and time again, and reminisce about even, of just how much love there is. Welcome to the world my loving son.
    ![InShot_20240602_181957186.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/2432f38HRzUtQjXEBUqAKqtbn2WrZTuvgzUFmjnY9r3r7wEVuQNSkceKL1qv4kYeD6htc.jpg)
Maybe some day when my son is grown up enough, one day, were he can remember to search for the post that I wrote for him and he will watch this beautiful video. It will make his face light up and his heart happy and full and will remind him of all the love I showered him with when he turned 6 years old. Well, I sure hope this means that no matter how long it takes, that love that he had won’t disappear.

  • 🎵 Vibes Web3 Music Competition Week 11 🎵 - 🎶 No Tears Left To Cry 🎶
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=jessicaossom/muqpaisx
    Hey everyone!
It's Vibes Web3 Music Competition Week 11, and I'm covering 'No Tears Left To Cry' and it's going to be Miley Cyrus's version.
I have listened to the original version a lot of times and the song is just one I can't get tired of.
I was scrolling down YouTube one afternoon, keeping myself busy, or, let me say, entertaining myself with interesting shorts on Youtube, and that was when I saw Miley singing 'No Tear Left To Cry'.
I'm not going to say that Ariana's original version is better that Miley's or that Miley's cover is better than the original.
In my opinion, they are both unique, melodious and interesting to listen to. However, there's something about Miley's cover; maybe it's because I like her, she's an amazing artist or maybe not.
I just know she added a very nice touch to it, I could feel the emotion in the song.
This cover of "No Tears Left to Cry" that Miley performed wasn't recorded in a studio, rather it was a live performance. According to my research, she sang it during her appearance on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge in 2018.
I also learned that the Live Lounge is a segment where artists perform their own songs and a cover of another artist's song, isn't that amazing?
You will agree with me that Miley Cyrus's cover of the song was a soulful, acoustic rendition that showcased her unique vocal style. I love Miley's deep voice.
I decided to add that song to the list of songs I want to score after listening to Miley.
In addition to that, seeing that the Vibes Web3 Music community didn't present a theme for this week, I thought that I should put my all into the cover and give it the best shot.
The challenge I faced while recording the song was the range. Not that it was exactly too high for me, but I drank cold water a few minutes before recording and it didn't do my vocal chords any good but I did my best anyway, and I hope you enjoy listening to it.

  • Afritunes Wk113 - Mercy (cover)
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=jessicaossom/ixipfbiu
It has been a long time since the last time I shared my cover here in the Afritunes community and I must say that I miss doing that, but I'm excited to break my silence here with the song Mercy by Moses Bliss ft Sumisola - Pastor Jerry Eze.
The first time I heard this song was when I was on my way to travel to the east. The song played from the speaker the Sienna car I entered. At first, I wasn't sure who sang the song, so what I did was type the part of the lyrics I heard on Google, and Google did the rest for me. I saved the song with and intention of listening to it later when I had the time to, that was in January. So, I never did until Monday morning.
I woke up that morning and I kept hearing that song in my spirit. The next thing I did was search for it on Spotify and play it until noon.
I have listened to the song and now trying to score it, hopelly I will get it right soon. At song point I got confused and knew I had missed the beat.
Following the beat from Sumisola's part was a bit challenging and I know it because I have not taken the time to score it well. I prayed I do before the third Sunday of this month cause I have to lead it in my church.
As I was saying in my video, a lot of people in the Bible have experienced God's mercy, and we are not an exception.
Take a look at Adam and Eve, They disobeyed God and ate the forbidden fruit but he still had mercy on them. He gave them a second chance by allowing them to start a new life outside the Garden of Eden, giving them a second chance to obey and follow him. Also, the prodigal son was shown mercy by his father after he returned home. Likewise, we have also experienced God's mercies in different ways.
For those who believe, it is important for us to ask for his mercy and grace.
Just like the artist said in the song, the song mercy isn't meant for everyone but only for those who know they've experienced God's mercy.
Thanks for checking this post and, I hope y'all exjoy the rest of your day.

  • Creative-Sunday - Ore Ofe (Grace)
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=jessicaossom/avfnqjyw
Hello, Hive Learners community! Good evening, and welcome to another creative-sunday edition.
The video uploaded to this post was from earlier today at church. We sang the song Ore Ofe by Rotimikeys for our ministration, and we sang along with live instruments played by the instrumentalist in my church.
I had to use bandlab splitter to split the vocal and instrumental so that the volume would be managed. I audio output isn't perfect, but I thought to share it it to compliment my post.
So, on Thursday last week, I decided to reach out to a vocal coach I had known since March 2023 and told him that I wanted a personal session so as to work on improving areas I experience challenges when singing. After negotiation and deal sealed, we had the first session on Friday last week. He showed me things to do and exercises to always do, which ofcourse I have been doing. His name is Toby Jonah, the link will take you to his profile page.
🙂 Today is the first Sunday in May, and in my church, we usually do a lot of singing. It's one of those Sundays where we do more praises, and since today was our thanksgiving service, we sang a lot of praise (like I mentioned earlier).
However, on days like this, after singing for hours, I usually return home with a painful sore throat. In fact, when that happens, speaking well proves to be difficult too, and even when I push myself to sing or speak more, you would be able to hear the coarseness in my voice and how badly I have cracked.
So, today I was very conscious of breathing deeply and low, and not exhaling out before singing, but letting what I was singing be the exhaling. While I was doing that, I observed that I didn't feel any strain in my throat at all. I could feel all the sound I was trying to produce coming from below, and not from my throat, because I was conscious of my breathing.
Another observation was that I felt free inside.
Breathing like that while I was singing gave me freedom inside that I felt like I could sing anything 😂. (I can't explain it, there was this spacious feeling I was feeling as well, I don't know how to explain it. 😂
I could project well. It just made singing easier for me.
By now, I would have cracked and would have started looking for what to use to make the sore throat better, but I'm not experiencing any of those things right now.
However, I still feel the need to rest my voice after all that singing. I just feel happy seeing or observing the improvement in just a short period of time since starting the breathing exercises.
In addition to that, I am still attending my physical guitar class, which I also just started. I know it pays to invest in oneself; there is no chance to lose at all. I just pray for the grace and strength to keep doing the things I need to do in order to continue seeing results.
Thanks for reading this post and I hope y'all have an amazing week.

  • Vibes Web3 Music Competition (WK 10) - Hallelujah (cover)
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=jessicaossom/gtfqzncy
Greetings to the Vibes Web3 Music community!
    **Week 10 is here.**
While I put all my passion into singing 'Hallelujah' memories of the Eurovision Song Contest come flooding in. To me Eurovision symbolizes a mix of diversity, imagination and self expression. Qualities that resonate deeply with the essence of 'Hallelujah'.
If I were to envision a Eurovision rendition of 'Hallelujah' I'd see myself standing on stage amidst a setup that allows the music to shine. The focus would be, on my vocals accompanied by lighting effects that reflect the songs depth. My performance would be genuine, sincere and vulnerable. Much like the lyrics of 'Hallelujah'.
Interpreting this song is my way of honoring the Eurovision spirit. Even if it isn't the Eurovision norm.
When I sing 'Hallelujah' it's more than delivering a melody. It's, about sharing a piece of my soul. This essence captures the spirit of Eurovision; connecting through our narratives, sentiments and melodies with audiences
I decided to take on a challenge by attempting to master the song "Hallelujah" that has been, on my learning list for quite some time.
    ![HALLELUJAH_20240504_090924_0000.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jessicaossom/23tbR9ufj4entr6zFwtYNe9GHDrXcvZsvNZeyqg9tjzzXsDJ9u6QvYxpRipshrMXegWtT.png)
I vividly recall the time I heard Alexandra Burkes mesmerizing version of "Hallelujah." It was a moment for me inspiring me to create my rendition of the song. I am confident that there will be covers of this piece, in my musical journey ahead.
The chorus of the song goes:
    **'Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Halleluuuujah'**
I like the melody, the beat and the dynamic of the song as a whole. It is a timeless classic that evokes certain kinds of emotions in me on a very deep level. The lyrics are poetic and open to interpretation, and I love the challenge of making the song my own.
Hallelujah evokes a mix of emotion in me that I can't explain - at first I had though it was a gospel song, but later realized that its a song about love, longing, and the search for connection.
The line that truly spoke to me was, "Love is, cold and a broken hallelujah."
I used the microphone that came with my Bluetooth speaker to record my cover and plugged in my Lavalier mic to my phone so as to reduce background noise during recording. I was trying to be creative my experimenting how the two mics will sound when used together, and it wasn't so bad. If I had used only the bluetooth's mic, there would have been a lot of echoes.
Maybe in the future, I will get a dynamic mic and sound system and also learn ways on how I can make my audio output sound better. However, for now I will keep managing what I have while ensuring it comes out great.
I experienced a few challenges tackling some notes in the song, so instead of staying there feeling stuck, or attempting to sing it the way the original artist did it, I tweaked things a bit to my own way.
Finally, I didn't want to leave out the backing vocals which which I recorded separately and added to the song to give it a finishing touch. I'm not sure how well I did the harmony but I just hope it is not so cringe hehe.
That's all for now, see y'all in week 11.

  • That's The Way It Is - (Creative-Sunday)

I just sang celidion's cover of that's the way it is.
I sang the first and second verse with the bridge. I didn't sing it all the way to the end so we can call it a short cover.
Also, my son had made me raise my voice on him before singing and that made me experience hoarseness in there and it after my ability to pitch well at that moment but I didn't want to let that stop me from sharing my video.
I think wa drew me to this song was the melody at first and then the lyrics. It's such a beautiful song with deep meaning.
Also, I see the song as a reflection of life and love. Infact , if you take a look at the last sentence in the bridge, you will see that it emphasizes on the that that when life feels empty and you're beginning to feel lonely, love as the ability to conquer it and anything that might come with that emptiness.
I love how the song's message resonates with me on a personal level. It's like Celidion is speaking directly to my soul.
The song's uniqueness is attributed to its lyrics, which are all the more remarkable. The story is not only captivating, but also demonstrates that life can be unpredictable, yet we can triumph over it with love. When I feel weak or lost, I turn to this kind of music to cheer me up.
"That's the Way It Is" is more than just a song; it is a reminder that life is precious and we should cherish every moment.Love is the solution to all our problems and it's what makes us feel whole again,"  the song reminds us of that.
I hope you enjoy this brief rendition of this beautiful song. Ignore the hoarseness and pitch; concentrate on the message and the melody. The original version by Celidion is a must-listen! The song is truly an exceptional rendition. But I doubt there is anyone that hasn't heard the song.
So the next time you feel lost or alone, remember that music is always there to guide you. Home. Put on your favorite song, close your eyes and let the melody envelop your soul. And when the world feels empty and lonely, remember that love is always the answer - and sometimes it comes in the form of a beautiful song like "That's the Way It Is".
All the best to you and may everything be going well with y'all even in this new week. Remember that life may not always be easy, but with love we can face anything that comes our way..

  • Vibes Web3 Music Competition (WK 9) - TITANIUM
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=jessicaossom/vxjrgzzi
There is no denying that singing a favorite song can be enjoyable.Despite having performed this Titanium song more than twice, it wasn't as effortless when I sang it again.I don't know why, but when I hear this song, I feel like I have to sing it with all my heart. It feels like I don't give enough if I don't sing with all my heart. In my opinion, this song is one of those songs that ignites my passion.
As I was sifting through my thoughts for a song, I chose Sia Titanium, but I didn't want to sing with the original instrumental, so I went to Tubidy. mobi , put in my keyword, and searched for what I needed, I found an acoustic piano instrumental in slow motion and sang along.
Singing Titanium creates raw emotions and passion in me.The key is to not only play on the right notes but also put your heart and soul into every word and song. The song is so powerful and emotionally moving that it makes me feel like I'm singing it with a renewed sense of purpose.
Titanium is a song that emphasizes the importance of being resilient. It is gaining the courage to rise up and face the challenges, even in difficult circumstances. It echoes the message of the human spirit and its power to conquer all barriers. It encourages the listener to stay true to themselves and their beliefs and never give up or give up no matter what life throws at them.
Choosing Titania as a song has deep personal meaning for me.
It reminds me of the strength and resilience within me. By singing this song, I can capture that inner strength and express it through my voice, creating a cathartic and empowering experience.
I hope that y'all enjoy listening to my entry for Vibes Web3 music competition week 9.
